DUC and cloudBuy UK launch eMarketplace In UAE Developed by cloudBuy, a software house and integration specialist, uniBuy is based on a tried and tested eCommerce transactional platform."uniBuy is our attempt at making universities smart. It promotes transparency on all purchases, resulting in improvements in product and service pricing re-negotiations. We are excited to bring this technology to the Middle East region and give the education sector here the opportunity to experience the same benefits that universities and colleges in other regions have been enjoying," said Sharlene Jobson, Global Solutions Director, Education of cloudBuy UK.In other markets where uniBuy has been deployed, several institutions have reported savings of between one and three FTEs (full-time equivalents) since they don't have to recruit expensive contract resources to monitor and manage the procurement and purchasing processes. As an eMarketplace, uniBuy allows suppliers to upload their products and services at standard rates, giving educational institutions and their students a chance to purchase and conduct transactions securely.Andy Smart, Deputy Head of Procurement at University of Reading said: "The eMarketplaceallows members of staff to view the pricing from different contracted suppliers, allowing buyers to compare and obtain the best deal."Steve Butcher FCCA, Head of Procurement at Higher Education Funding Council for England added: "It allows competition to take place in a controlled environment, which reduces maverick spend, drives down costs and keeps process costs to a minimum."[link]
downer yet again could be a big drop
Breakout..? 40p plus coming soon...
More Deals , more contracts. Kind of knew the e-commerce business would have a great 2015 & especially the likes of 'Cloudbuy' would be a high scorer. So with their 2 and 1 year sp peak being 56p and 46p respectively it is not too late to further invest if already, or buy into this company for that gr8return. I now wish I had when they were 22p to buy recently, it was a funds issue that preventedit . Ronald Duncan has always appeared professional to me.
RNS Some good news in this RNS depending on the Asia take up (10%, 30%, 60%). The prediction of take up is interesting, I wonder what it looked like in UK and Australia considering the statement 'Entering 2014 our pipeline was, to a large extent, reliant on UK public sector and large procurement opportunities in Australia, which have proved to move slowly.' Anybody know what the take up figures were and maybe we could apply these figures to the Asia market?? I think the VISA 5 year deal is great news though.
might see sp go up to 29p sometime next week
Re: Nice new partner Dougal71, would the partners not deal with the offshore clients?I need to get a better understanding of the CBUY business model, doesn't anyone have link(s) to any good white papers etc..?Thanks.
Re: Nice new partner No but staff need to engage with clients, governments/companies like to see a presence within the country, this all has a cost and risk attached. I do understand what you are saying regarding the technology and agree the wider the better. I just have this tiny concern of too much, too dispersed, too risky...Its good to see people on the BB though!!
Re: Nice new partner A figure of £600k revenue was postulated for first customer from US partner. Unlikely to have been given unless likely otherwise someone will have egg on their face.Success with a premium customer in one region will lead to success breeding success there. US announcement of this new partner it a step change imho and hoping for recovery of sp from now on. Time will tell.
