Re: Results tomorrow The fact that they can declare a special dividend at all, against previous negative sentiment, kind of tells you there's not a lot wrong with the business model.Shame the stock has been so beaten up -- I didn't have the stomach to buy more at the lows, as it's already at a level I'm prepared to invest.Games

More card sales than ever.Karen seems to have the bit between her teeth.Any caution seems to be managing expectations which is good.M

Re: Results tomorrow Final Div up to 6.4p and a special expected to be declared but not at 15p like last year 5-10p see below.Our unique, vertically integrated business model remains strong and we have now established a solid platform for future growth, with our four pillar strategy continuing to support strong cash generation and a progressive dividend policy. We currently expect to declare another special dividend with our half year results in the range of 5-10p per ordinary share.

Bets Placed Guess we will see in the morning,I did derisk here, I thin if special is cancelled it might actually indicate someone is in charge that has a clue.See in the morning positioned to top up or just hold.Overall not been a bad share for me, sold out on the big rise but bought back some tranches too early.Lesson learned!!Retail can't be in the bad books forever

Re: Share issue - who knows but the consensus seems to be to not anticipate much good news from any High St retailer, even though the problem (excuse ?) here was one of rising import costs which have reversed trend. I am plenty exposed to CARD already so let's just wait and see.

Re: Results tomorrow who in retail has had good results recently? I have sold out. With the bad weather and reduced footfall on the high st I cant see this being better than mediocre at best

Share issue CARD have announced this morning plans to issue 500,000 new shares along with final results for 2017 next Weds 10 April. I wonder why ...expecting a surge in demand?raising about £1M cash to ... boost dividend?Would it be too huge a gamble to double up today hoping for better than expected financials and more positive outlook? A new ISA year and money itching to invest.
