Good to see a rise at last... but fed up that like most of my other shares, the rise is quickly lost going back to pre-rise price or even below that. Traders market only - no encouragement to long term holders. (long way to go to break even by the way).tclr

Re: Dropping like a stone today We all know about Naibu. I am not in.Has anyone bought a CAMK product here to see if it is real?
Re: Dropping like a stone today "I expect someone is drinking champagne, taking drugs, and in the company of a prostitute with my original investment money! "I don't think you can get all that for £150.But seriously anyone taking comfort from (a) reported cash balances (b) positive statements from the house broker and/or Simon Thompson in the IC (c) audited accounts or (d) it being on AIM does indeed need to take a look at Naibu. It had all of those elements but as some of us had worked out quite a while back, it appears to have been a fraud and now the exec directors have disappeared. Maybe it's unfair to tar another similar sounding Chinese company with that brush but you have all been well warned so if it goes the same way, please don't start bleating about City slickers as Loadsadosh likes to do, as if he bears no responsibility for his own investment decisions, let alone advising others to buy and trying to shout down anyone who said it looked like a wrong 'un.
Re: Calming the nerves Stupid question sorry.
Re: Calming the nerves Can some order a product from the UK?
House broker says worth x 2 cash [link] in Chinese youth clothing firm Camkids (LON:CAMK) have shot up to almost 24p from 17p this week but are still undervalued, the house broker says.Shares advanced strongly yesterday on the back of a trading statement from the company, and are up again today, but Allenby Capital says the shares trade at less than half the cash value on the balance sheet. The house broker trimmed its earnings per share (EPS) forecasts for 2014, 2015 and 2016 after Camkids warned yesterday that trading remains tough and that 2014 net profit would be some 12.5% below market expectations of around RMB 202mln, or £21.1mln.For the current year and the next, Allenby has cut its EPS forecasts by 12% and for the year just gone it has cut the forecast by 13%.The economic slowdown in China led to certain distributors withdrawing orders, and although Camkids does not normally operate on a sale or return basis, it has decided to rescind the orders so as to keep the distributors onside.Allenby views this as a sign of overcapacity in the inventory channels, and does not hold out much hope of these cancelled orders resurfacing in 2015.In response to the slowdown, Camkids has increased its focus on reducing the cost base, and it has opted not to pull the trigger on the construction of a new manufacturing facility.End-year cash was worth 56p a share. Providing Camkids can continue to trade profitably, maintain a healthy balance sheet but at the same time confirm its final year dividend, we would expect a rapid re-rating of the shares, Allenby Capital asserted.Shares in Camkids are up 11.3% to 23.92p today.
Re: Sum Not sure how to accept their trading statement, also is China a good place to invest your money in today's climate? I'm not sure it is taking into account what has been said in the pressre. Asia. Guess Camkids will make some good money eventually but it may be some way off.
Sum Camkids warnsStockMarketWire.comCamkids Group has warned that net profit after tax will be about 12.5% behind market forecasts following the postponement or cancellation of some orders. The group - a Chinese designer, manufacturer and distributor of branded outdoor clothing, footwear and equipment for children and teenagers - says that as explained in its trading announcement on 17 November, distributors are adopting a cautious approach towards 2015 given the macro-economic backdrop in China and the reduction in consumer spending. In light of this backdrop, in December certain of the group's distributors requested the postponement or cancellation of some orders totalled RMB79m (unaudited). The company says the board has been reviewing the group's planned cost base for 2015 with a view to maintaining net profit as much as possible and further announcements will be made at the appropriate time. The group added that the directors have noted the recent falls in the company's share price and consider that the current price fundamentally undervalues the group. It says the group's cash balances as at 31 December were RMB410m (unaudited), equal to 57p per share or 370% of the company's market capitalisation as at 3 February 2015.At 8:16am: (LON:CAMK) Camkids Group Plc share price was -1p at 14p
57p/ share Well 57p/share cash is pleasing.Wish I had bought more at 14 pence. Its bottom drawer punt category and until I hear otherwise the yield is 4 times better than my average. It is always a danger that customers want to cancel orders. It has been happening since time began where the lead times are short. It is the other way round when they cant produce enough for demand. If the company does things to shore up credibility and grow, things could turn out well. There is little point sitting on 57p cash/share. Re: Calming the nerves NBU supposedly had lots of cash but they are now suspended. Have you actually proved CAMKIDS products exist and that the outlets exist? It seems with NBU they don't. Also the same thing with a German-listed Chinese footwear company where the chairman stole all the money. Be careful!
