Hi Everyone I am new here and been thinking about this company I was trying to find the section for 'investor relations ' on their website but could not see it ,can anyone help. For what is worth may do a small investment here as I think long term could do well Luke Johnson seems to know what he is talking about .

Impressive results In addition to all figures moving in the right direction, I particularly like the fact that the new branches were funded by cash generated by the existing business and that the profit margins are quite good for a company working in this sector. I am sure that CAKE's "upmarket fast food" niche is different from that of Starbucks and the other large chains and CAKE also has more diversity in its business and better growth prospects so I am a long term holder of this company.

Re: Coffee shop kings: Brits prefer Greg... I don't invest on anecdotal evidence alone, but what I've seen from Valerie is impressive.I was in the Tunbridge Wells cafe yesterday, business was very brisk, both eat in and take away. High seating density while maintaining a nice environment. I'd guess this is a prime location, but on this evidence trading is very good. They should get a store open in Sevenoaks pronto! I think this is a very different target market to Greggs.

Re: Coffee shop kings: Brits prefer Greg... Lots of coffee spots on the high street theses days, but I feel this stock is more of a play on cake (great stock ticker). Pat val is differentiated by the cake, best quality chain IMO

Re: Coffee shop kings: Brits prefer Greggs t... IOM -- Do you consider coffee is becoming a crowded trade?Outlet's like Valerie etc are very nice and maybe they can do very well from a small, somewhat attractive, quality base but I'm hesitant to invest here on the basis that every man and his dog is pumping coffee.I see the company is touted in this article, alongside Ted Baker, Restaurant Group, from Giles Hargreave the AIM fund guy :-[link] Games

Coffee shop kings: Brits prefer Greggs to Starbucks Future Threat to CAKE[link] Davidson11:54AM GMT 22 Mar 2015 Comments21 CommentsStarbucks might be the king of coffee shops, and Costa might wear the crown in the UK, but it turns out British people are more partial to a hot beverage from Greggs. The bakery chain scored highest for value in a national poll of 4,500 people, ranking second on friendliness of staff, speed of service and store cleanliness.Overall, Greggs performed better than Caffè Nero, Costa and Starbucks, bested only Pret A Manger, according to the Market Force Information survey, which asked consumers about their satisfaction in eight categories at a range of coffee shops and whether they would recommend the brands to others.• The menu items you didn't know you could order at StarbucksBetter known for its pasties and sausage rolls - and its social media savvy - Greggs is currently in the midst of a makeover that will see it move towards in-store seating, healthy sandwiches and better coffee. The transformation seems to be working: the Newcastle-based retailer’s like-for-like sales at its own stores, excluding franchises, grew 4.5pc in 2014 compared to a 0.8pc decline the year before. In its annual results, Greggs said that four out of five consumers judged its new coffee blend to be as good as or better than their favourite coffee brand in a blind taste test. The company said the black beverage was its fastest growing product category in the year, with coffee sales in the run up to Christmas hitting a record high £1m per week.• Leave Greggs alone - it's a national treasure• What does Greggs coffee really taste like?Despite having among the lowest coffee consumption per capita in Europe, the UK is swiftly turning from a nation of tea drinkers and pub dwellers into coffeeshop socialisers.“The coffee shop market has grown at about 5pc per annum throughout the recession even in the most economically challenged parts of the UK,” Andy Harrison, chief executive of Costa-owner Whitbread, has previously told the Telegraph. The Market Force Information survey found that consumers were more likely to have visited a coffee shop more than 10 times in the last three months than any other number of visits, with around a fifth of respondents saying they had frequented a cafe this often.contrast, people were most likely to have eaten at a restaurant just once or twice in the last 90 days and gone to a pub two or three times.Even JD Wetherspoon wants a piece of the coffee cake: the pub chain recently unveiled plans to triple coffee and breakfast sales over the next 18 months in the face of high pub taxes and said it already sells more coffees - around 50m each year - than Caffè Nero or Pret a Manger.

Positive comment from Motley Fool Even after today's 10% jump in the share price, Motley Fool reckons CAKE is still worth investing in. I am always loathe to invest in companies shortly after their IPO but I took the plunge with CAKE a few weeks ago as I think this company has genuine roll out potential as there are still plenty of new locations where I think one of their shops should prosper. I have also experienced some of its products and they seem good quality. I also like the fact that, in my opinion, they have succeeded in differentiating themselves from the modern coffee chains and sandwich shops despite the fact that they sell both of these products in addition to cakes. The trigger for my buy was when one of my favourite fund managers, Giles Hargreaves, stated that he thought this was one of the 3 shares he thought he would still be holding in 10 years time. I look forward to seeing the company grow its presence and dividend.

Re: Patisserie (LSE: Cake) Don't hold, but have been watching and find it amazing how this has flown on very, very small volumes and no obvious news!It also has happened to The AA but with slightly higher vols.Well done if already bought but i think i will stay sitting on the fence.Merry Xmas

AleksiKrondstadt 23 Dec 2014

Patisserie (LSE: Cake) No, bought them at £1.97:was a little concerned that most of their food looked a bit too sugary and carbohydratey , but the few outlets I looked at were very busy with friendly, active staff.I think they have a very good niche with some excellent locationsSo, all in all pleased - will hold - perhaps buy more later

Brown Bull 23 Dec 2014

Going like a rocket I bought into this on the basis of their last results at £2.00 - also partly because I loved their EPIC!Since then I have been amazed at how it's taken off, without any obvious further news.Has anyone heard anything?
