Nickols nicks some profits at Patisserie Nickols nicks some profits at PatisserieCitywire AAA-rated small and mid-cap specialist Dan Nickols has banked some profit on his stake in cafe chain Patisserie Valerie owner Patisserie Holdings as its share slip from a record high.Nickols trimmed his stake in the business from 7.78 million shares to 6.97 million or 6.98% worth £26 million at a share price of 374p, down from a high of 450p at the beginning of the year.The shares are primarily held by his Old Mutual UK Smaller Companies fund with a smaller slice held in AAA-rated colleague Luke Kerrs Old Mutual UK Dynamic Equity fund.Despite the recent dip, shares in Patisserie Holdings which trades under the ticker CAKEP remain 90% up on where they entered trading in May 2014. In results for the year to end September the business reported profit up 40% to £14 million on revenue up 20%.Investec rates the company a buy, on a price target of 425p[link]

Trading This has been a great share to trade.I genuinely thought there was a take-over bid or something in the wings and now it looks like a classic case of market exuberance followed by panic selling.Up we go again!J

Re: Dont worry I get this.At the end of the day if the economy falls flat we are into discretionary spending which gets the chop with a share like this.Still, it's ben a great growth story and I'd be inclined to buy back in soonish as the rate of decent slows....J

Re: Dont worry Possibly the effect of the Restaurant Group TU, which although satisfactory historically was very cautious in outlook and fell substantially - 18%. I know they are not strictly the same, but interestingly in Peer Group comparison listings on Stockopedia, they are right there, so maybe...........

What happened? I thought the shares had become expensive but the last day or so has been unbelievable.Might be a chance to buy some more stock at a very reasonable price.J
Re: Peel Hunt Would not disagree after such a great run to see that or 3.50 area.[link] seem to remember Directors are not locked in as well so maybe we see the share price retraces back to the 200 mda as a healthy pullback as the rating got too far.
