Re: Re: Be very careful dealing in the dark arts of BRCI. A massive proportion of the income is from options writing - hardly a stable income stream !!

badnews 24 Jun 2015

I'M IN In at 294.00 for the yield. Also picked up some New City Energy (NCE). High management charges and investing in sectors is totally against my principles, so I'm giving in to my greed for yield. I'll probably regret it, but I haven't staked more than I can afford to lose.

Share price above 300p again now

Re: Re: I assume everyone is looking at the differences between the current discounts when comparing BRWM and BRCI, too.Good luck all!

Re: Re: LamboI loaded up on BRWM last week so fortunately, not a member of the 'doubled up' club. Keeping something back for another dip. Interesting one on BRCI. We (LKH and yourself included) had a brief moot on this versus BLT when it was @ 1600. I haven't changed my views re liquidity, horrible spreads and poor comparative performance. However, I have been loading up on the dips for the long run on the basis that the divi should cover my opportunity cost of capital plus a bit. When oil picks up we should see a decent revaluation though I don't expect fireworks from the big caps. Oil is just too political these days.F1

Re: SLOWING LOSING THE WILL TO LIVE Fine, so long as you don't let slip the slippery one through the slips.

Re: U consider BRCI ...??...its Big Miners AND BIG Oils...flat today even tho shares are up..and BIG dividend..

glasgowboy 22 Jun 2015

Hi everyone thanks for the advice not sure I am brave enough to double up but may top up some more

Fabius1 22 Jun 2015

Re: SLOWING LOSING THE WILL TO LIVE Lambo'just DOUBLE UP...(if u can)...'Good advice. However, on a seasonal note, it has been a sticky wicket so I think a few on this board have been 'doubled up' for a while now having experienced some discomfort in the nethers through a combination of short bowling and clumsy team selection by the management. Takes a degree of fortitude to pick the googly and put it away for four. F1

Re: If you use the income - retired persons RugosaJust be mindful of the fact that it is either underpriced or the divi could be trimmed. Either way, long term, it makes sense.F1

If you use the income - retired persons As a retired person, I revel in the yield of this share. I have quite a lot of them, and fully expect that, sometime in the future, the share price will increase substantially. But that is a minor consideration - where else can you get over 7%? Come on, you pensioners, buy them now (and maybe influence the share price upwards?)
