2nd Interim Dividend Paid? Can anyone tell me on this board whether they have received their 2nd Interim Dividend, due on 24th July, 2015. My shares are held with HSBC and I haven't received payment yet. Many thanks in advance for any feedback on this .....

Re: How reliable is income stream? On my own take, when a yield exceeds 7% it may be time to factor in some cut.At these levels even a chunky dividend cut, which may not happen, would still leave a very reasonable yield.Approaching a longer term decent entry point imv, which may become available next week. All just IMV only, DYOR as always.

You do realise that BRCI issued one million new 1p shares on the 22nd June at 81p. See LSE news for BRCI. "The Company announces that today it issued one million new ordinary shares of 1p each for cash, at a price of 81.0 pence per share,...". Not sure what effect this has on price but in October the shares were trading a around 119p.

Re: First tranche same here..bill..

FRTEB 18 Jun 2015

First tranche Bought a chunk of these this morning at just over 82p giving a 7.3x% yield. Room for a few more if the sp drops but the chart is pointing to a possible bottom IMHO hence the BUY rec.

Re: Yield Is the divi paid gross or does it come with a 10% tax pre paid ?many thanks

Re: Yield I am looking for the growth here too and buying regularly over last 3 years - the long term story looks strong from these levels. And the divi which I am reinvesting makes it worthwhile investment in an ISA in the meantime

Yield I'm hoping that commodity prices will improve and the dividends continue. I want income!

Re: How reliable is income stream? Thanks for the info. The options writing generates around 33% of the income so a large chunk of the yield is linked to how successful the fund managers are with the options. As you say it explains the costs also as 3 or 4 two month options are written each month so a fair amount of activity takes place on this. Regar

Re: How reliable is income stream? from nov 2013 accounts---During the year the Group entered into a number of derivativeoption contracts generating option premium Income of £2,185,000 income reserves of 1.7Mgearing 6%--with total income of 5.7M the option premium Income is significant.gosh! may account for the hefty management charge of 1.1%the income reserves would cover an income short fall of approx 1.8p for one yea

Re: How reliable is income stream? Not this one. There are no reserves. Compare asset value with income and net asset value of holdings. BRCI just about covers the quarterly dividend with the income stream. There is hardly any gearing which is a bonus in a falling market but would not wish BRCI to increase borrowings just to keep the income stream rolling.Unlike BRWM, I don't think BRCI uses clever instruments which can go pear shaped in an attempt to increase the income but may be wrong here.Any light on this subject of BRCI jiggery pokery if any would be appreciated or are the holdings all straightforward publically quoted investments with the odd non listed but cash generating debt free enterprise thrown in? Re: How reliable is income stream? an investment trust can use its reserves to prop up its income stream in the short term

My name is Bond James Bond 09 Dec 2014

How reliable is income stream? As an investment trust with an historic steady income steam and little or no premium to asset value at current levels the question is how reliable is the income stream?Do the assets in the portfolio have the ability to continue delivering the levels of income investors are used to going forward? It is unusual for investment trusts with an income strategy to trade on a par with asset value. Normally would expect to see premiums unless there are concerns about the trusts ability to deliver. Are we really going to see a commodity income meltdown?Regar
