Re: Like an Ebay Auction Some of the comments from Anal ysts suggest they will have to put the GVC offer in front of investors and that 888 will probably have to up its bid accordingly. I think this is realistic given the poor opening offer accepted by the Board.
Deutsche Bank... Can anyone tell me what they're up to with these long & short derivative trades?? (I'm too thick to work it out lol!). Are they taking a punt on a drop or a rise in SP?!
Re: Like an Ebay Auction With revised GVC bid valued at 122.5p per share it is urprising how cold has been market reaction to the BPTY Share price, with this still languishing at 110p mark.Nobody seems to believe that GVC will pay that much and that BPTY Board will sensibly accept that? Nobody also seems to believe that 888 will at least match or exceed that offer?nk
Re: One of those wonderful coincidences Good spot my friend, you couldn't make it up.
Re: Like an Ebay Auction As I stated earlier, the Board were prepared to simply get this business off their hands at a knock down price as they had lost the plot as to how to take it forward. If GVC has increased its offer, this simply reinforces my view and confirms their (Board) complete and utter incompetence. Shocking performance from successive Boards that have run this business in to the ground and will walk away with lots of cash having screwed thousands of investors of all size in the process.
Like an Ebay Auction [link] the bidding war continues with an better offer from 888 in response
Re: One of those wonderful coincidences Another coincidence - The value of 888 Offer is now 110p, the exact price that was offered by GVC bid.the way, has anyone seen any news on any new bid from GVC?nk
One of those wonderful coincidences Bwin closed on Friday with a market value of £888m !An omen? Unlikely, to be sure, but one of those joyously amazing coincidences.
Re: Still going up! 888 down 1.5% today but Bwin up 1% so unlikely to be all 888 related..
Re: Still going up! Looks like the market price is just moving closer to the 888 offer. Their offer, based on their current SP of £1.75 equates to £1.1015 per share. All GVC have done is announce that they are considering their options. No certainty of a revised offer from them.
Re: Still going up! Market looking pretty certain now that GVC coming back with a revised offer IMHO....
Re: Still going up! ".....am I missing something". I think you are ignoring couple of things1) 104p bid i not all cash. So the bid price will vary depending on 888 Share Price.(2) There have been rumours and expectations that GVC will come back with a revised bid (presumably that will be higher than earlier).nk
Re: Still going up! Agree Elf in respect of fresh bid, otherwise just buy 888.
Re: Still going up! The possibility of another bid + the offer is part cash and part shares, if 888 shares go up in value the offer is effectively worth more.
Still going up! Despite 104p offer. Why are people still buying this share or are am I missing something?
