HELLO...LOLolololo Great echo in here, but resounding silence from the BOD.Maybe if we get closer we can hear the soft sound of gentle snoring?

Market Cap Market cap of BOR is approx. £11m, which must be pretty close to its cash holdings.Could someone acquire BOR for £5-7m in shares and BOR Directors give half cash back to shareholders?Might be half decent deal in present circumstances

Re: does anyone know what's going on! Noble could have bought BOR instead of drilling Humpback.BOR said they would get a partner and look to used the ER before it de-mobbed the FI. Anyone interested in deep water right now will not be looking at today's oil price, next few months are when the oil price will be at its lowest. So now is the right time to pick up future assets.

Re: does anyone know what's going on! Hard to think that Noble would go for anything there, following the FOGL episode. There were some options for extra drilling, but cannot remember if it was in the RKH portfolio, or the FOGL farm in plan?Given the current trend is for share mergers and preserving and amalgamating cash, hard to see why anyone would propose a drilling deal.

Re: does anyone know what's going on! I wonder if total amalgamation of all FI interests is in the offing. At least BOR would be a good guest, bringing something to the party...

does anyone know what's going on! I had not expected the recent rises. . . and one broker apparently with BOR as a strong buy! Why? I had more or less given up on them for the next few years. . . . I may yet escape unscathed from my speculative top-up last autumn!!any and all information or speculation gratefully receivedand happy new year. . .

Re: Humpback non commercial Think the directors need a massive haircut r find another role somewhere else imho

Muzzletoff 29 Oct 2015

Re: Humpback non commercial A big question mark now hangs over BOR's future. That may not be fair, as perhaps their SFB prospective interests have more play in them than FOGL's.However, they have got nowhere in getting a farm in partner, and the state of the Oil market, is not likely to favour them anytime soon. The BOR board may just choose to sit there burning a low level of cash and sit it out, or they could be creative, and see some amalgamation as the way to bulk up value. In the interims they said they are burning admin costs of $0.9m a year and have $14m in the bank. With fewer jobs available in the industry in this part of the cycle, those who are salaried may not be in the market for anything that threatens their personal security.Howard Obee CEO is on $413,000 pa. Peter Fleming FD: $331,072 pa Only Harold Dobson of the five Directors is unpaid. The lowest paid is Stephen Posford (Non-exec) at $49,000 pa.Must be hard keeping awake at Board meetings to listen to the progress report

Humpback non commercial Noble have said that the FOGL drill on Humpback is non-commercial.Not good for BOR I guess.

implications of the Fogl 'strike' does anyone here have any thoughts about the geological implications for BORof the latest news from Fogl?[link] thanks. . . good luck to all long-term holders. . . . we deserve a nice big bounce!

rifter101 13 Oct 2015

Is this now a derivative of Fogl If fogl strikes the black stuff, the Bor shall surely rise on the back of it, as it will bring the chances of getting a real producing oil industry in the FI closer. Also Bor are cheap enough for a takeover, or a farm in/out deal. With the Botox Queen on the way out all looks rosy. In the mean time Bor have been busy in the lab proving up what they have.If all goes poorly for Fogl, then we might see a little dip but nothing too dramatic, so it may be a safer place to put your FI money strangely and that may explain the SP rise
