Re: Q1 update Well well. Q1 results out and Q1 of 2016 over and no RNS on delayed deals we were told of late last year.Doesn't look promising as thought. Beginning to wonder if management has what it takes. Stagnation seems to be settling in. This could be a long slog where chance of new share placement to top up coffers increases with time.So sold my top-up shares bought at 2p for a nice profit. Won't be greedy by waiting as chance we might see near 2p again if disappointment on progress continues! Will I be an April fool?
Re: Q1 update Yes, huge cash burn, high fixed costs (£6m overheads) and minimal revenue to cover this. No sign of making a profit any time soon and will probably need to raise further cash from shareholders this year.Great trading update...
Re: results And revenue so far this year of £192,000, so full year 2016 could be £800,000+ hopefully reach £1 millionGLA
results Way down in the depths of the final results, Note 2, advertising revenue 2014 £29,000, advertising revenue 2015, £166,000. Nice jump.
Re: Q1 update t07 - BOOM still has quite a way to go on the revenue side, so I am not surprised by the slight retreat.
Re: Q1 update I share you're optimism. Very good RNS. No negatives. Hardly surprising the price is down then ! A complete joke market reaction. Cheers.
Q1 update very strong update for Q1 this morning, turnover higher during these 3 months that in the whole of last year, 40 million listens in February alone (a new record)All bodes well methinksGLA
Re: Promises come good..Woop! Agree times risky.Management made no secret that it's a participant/listener numbers game initially for kick-off time to attract big advertising revenues. BOOM progress good imho. Not sure what is fully on offer but no doubt some advert income share with big audio partners may boost revenues. Google Ad Share and YouTube Ad-Sense do this. Latter just opened to all content providers signed up with generous 50% ish share. Audio-Ad-Share will incentivise sign ups. Lots of potential for BOOM. It will take time and happy to hang in there. Hoping for news in next month or so on new big partners in pipeline and even share buy by CEO. When happens SP will go north sharpish. DYOR
Re: Promises come good..Woop! Its all very well having all these partners, but its the listeners that BOOM needs to attract. For an example Mr Proctor himself has 24 followers, should be in the thousands, he has uploaded silch for us shareholders to listen to. I use the site as a listener a lot now and its great, I can follow topics that interest me and download playlists to listen to in the car. But if I ask folk if they have heard of Audioboom the answer is no.The app imho still leaves a lot to be desired, but that could well be my phone! I see no marketing of the site to bring in more listeners, without millions to advertise to where will the revenue come from? Or am I missing something here, is Audioboom relying on the podcasters to increase listeners and market the platform?P.S I decided to hold, was having a bad day.GLA
Re: Promises come good..Woop! a - interesting you say they have enough cash to keep going for another couple of years, so maybe a placing isn't that likely unless they a hoping for an acquisition. When sentiment gets so strained its impossible to time a buy, but it is very hard to gauge how well the co could do with so many good partners, but such poor revenues at the moment. The pull back from the exuberant rise to 16p has been relentless, but my TA nose picked up on the downtrend since my trade a good while back, and I am currently looking for signs of a reversal. I am not going to rush in as I am very wary of markets, and the SP may trade sideways before a bounce back, but I am still tracking BOOM. Best of luck with your top up, and I hope BOOM does start to fulfil some of its promise soon -
Re: Promises come good..Woop! Saw video. Clearly didn't impress market. Proctor said orders delayed only t didn't he till this Q1 year and not yet over? Mention of some start ups in US muscling in so could see that as positive. Ripe for expansion and BOOM well placed as he reminded with extensive global partners in place and growing. As for T W comment. Thought BOOM has plenty of cash for couple of years or so. Not blowing it like some either. Prudent management imho.. Was not there mention of using ipot for acquisitions. If so any placing likely to be to buy up whizz start up in US perhaps to grow quicker there and likely to have discount for holders too. Market wobbly I agree but not likely to impinge much if at all on BOOM after its recent dip. Topped up myself for long term. But not put my shirt on it as maybe MBO, or even TO bid at this level to grab all partners for a song.. Time will tell.
Hi Maverick... It purely comes down to concerns over revenues at the moment in my view and whether it has enough funds to survive, especially as markets are biased to the downside currently. It may well be a frustrating wait unfortunately, but I am sure it will recover at some point, particularly if revenues show real signs of growth.Lets just hope it doesnt have to place a vast number of shares to see it through the next 18 months to two years. Best of luck -
Hi Andy Good point.I got in these at 6.5p from a nod from a tech friend who had bought in at the IPO.I saw him over the summer and again he was confident they were a long term good shot and not to be concerned over price fluctuations.Difficult to swallow that presently!Regards and wishing I took your advice!Maverick
Re: Promises come good..Woop! Out of interest I see that the directors took part in a placing on Oct 1st 2014 at 12.5p - I am sure they are still in positive territory if they were in at the IPO, and with a lot of free shares, but recent events just show that the disparity between the dream and reality can be painful at times. The SP is in both uncharted territory and at oversold levels, so when the bounce comes how much umph will there be behind it I wonder.
Re: Promises come good..Woop! T-D - On Dec15th the SP hit a low of 2.35p, and today 2.3p, and it does seem that a) concerns about a discounted placing, and b) very slow progress with revenues is really hitting home, As I said markets are very gloomy, and the lack of delivery really isn't helping BOOM, so it is hard to see what will come to the rescue of the SP. Such very a pity as it has some very good customers - ARPS - TW hasn't got much credibility in my view, but he could well be right about the possibility of a placing.
