Re: Waiting Game alecro - well the SP has bounced a tad so far, but the key Q is will the 6.75p low of yesterday be the bottom? The SP remains in a downtrend, and within the downwards trading channel - currently the top of the channel is 9,25p, and getting lower as time goes by. A break above would be very positive, and suggest a turn around in sentiment. As I said before 6.5p (the breakout point) of Aug last year would probably be revisited - so .25p short isnt too bad - but sentiment feeds on itself, and the really negative move for BOOM would be a break below.Currently its hard to tell whether things will improve or not, and from a TA pont of view its important to watch how sentiment plays out as reflected in the chart, rather than speculating about the fundamentals.I wish you luck and good news for BOOM, but I am not prepared to take another punt with BOOM at the mo - I continue to watch.
Re: Waiting Game Getting into nice top up level for long termers and buy in for newcomers with sp at 2013 levels even with millions of extra listeners on board and some mega tie up deals since then. AR was right about shorters term drop. Tempting territory.
[link] the word revenue in here!!Great RNS
Re: Waiting Game I'm waiting for the effect of the £1m promotional campaign that started a day or two ago as mentioned by BOOM CEO in the video highlighted on this BB below. Should not take long to kick in some nice news. Also he adds USA visit aimed to add mega numbers of partners to BOOM 's growing portfolio. Could be in for a string of RNS announcements over next month or two, of better than expected growth in registrations and listeners. Exponential revenues and sp following not far behind, all being well. Last spike of 17p could be dwarfed in 2015. May top up although have quite a wad must declare.DYOR.
Waiting Game I think these are going to stay flat here at Circa 9p to 10p. The big Q is whats happening with the visit to Silicon Valley by the board? They say as far as they are concerned the bottom is 12.5pence, maybe because thats the price they are invested at. Anything below 12p I think is a reasonable entry here.
tiptv interview Worth a watch[link]
Re: outgoings and forecasts Thanks for both perspectives.
Re: outgoings and forecasts The point of it all seems to be missed. If I have this right, Yes BOOM helps people to distribute their audio clips FREE I believe and gets little if no revenue from this. But the HQ platform is the key where ALL client platforms around the world have to show BOOM adverts BOOM will get income from these adverts and is building its audience base to sell to advertisers.. So Russell Brand has just added 3 million pairs of ears to BOOM's growing 'ears pot' to sell to advertisers. It is early days for revenue but this will grow exponentially as more 'ears' are added. Even when a small African business or South American football club uses BOOM at no cost to itself it adds ears to the pot. Coca Cola, for example, can then reach all the ears all at once through BOOM HQ platform. Fantastic. It's just a question of time to build this.At less than 10p a share this dip is buying opportunity. One deal RNS that adds 30 million pairs of ears will see sp rocket again imho.Quite likely in my view and soon at any time. Don't be out when this happens. Dyor.
Re: outgoings and forecasts Good questions, but I think to invest here you have to take it all on trust. calling themselves a "social media" company they want people to think they will work out a way of making money at some point, like Facebook did. If they called themselves a distributor of audioclips they'd be valued at about 0.1p (compare Rightster which distributes video clips and has a similar market value (or did on Monday) with about 100 times the revenue). At the moment Boom's income is not so much small as negligible.I suppose Russell Brand is a good partner for them, being a master of self hype without any substance, but it's hard to see how the deal with him can be major in the context of a £50m (OK, now only £40m) company. Probably the most valuable asset here is the AIM ticker.
Well said Mangosauce
outgoings and forecasts Hi, I'm interested in this company but am trying to get a bit more of a handle on outgoings and possible revenue streams. Cash is about 7.5 million, with a v. small current income stream. So what are the outgoings, staff, officeequipment running costs and leases. How much does Rus. Brand cost etc. How much of a draw on cash are these? Has there been any market research published for demand of mid-stream advertising, any projected revenue forecasts? Do Audioboom do their own marketing or do they use a proven agency?I realise that this is still effectively a start up and I like the fact that cash is being used for the business and not for divis, but I haven't been able to find the answer to some of the questions I normally rely on before jumping in.Thanks.
Re: Russell Brand??? alecro - I take your point, but the trend has been in place for nearly 5 months since peaking, and it is ultimately your friend. My 4 trading day hold in December gave me just over 18% profit, and I am glad I didnt get seduced into holding on, as the downtrend has continued. Lets hope BOOM can recover soon -
Re: Russell Brand??? This share maybe one for making a few quid trading on ups and downs of penny or so if glued to a trading computer.. However long to medium term strategy likely to be more productive for investors with other things to do.. Do both but prefer to be in BOOM when an sp surge happens than out hoping for a short term tiny drop. If drops but will top up. Horses for courses.
Re: Russell Brand??? alecro - 8.5p touchedon Dec 18th, and 18.57 today - very important that that level holds. Unfortunately I feel the chnaces afre that the SP will go on to make a new low wthout some good news/deals, and 6.5p could well be the eventual target.Unfortunately the longer term rising trend line has been breached, and a break like todays is not a surprise. My tactic now is to wait for a much better price (asabove), and if I miss good news thats life! Best of luck -
Re: Russell Brand??? Russell will contribute his bit to giving Boom popular traction in market. So good. As for prospects let's not forget BOOM has £11m in bank so market awareness and traction key at moment not revenues. Fact they have some revenue is good as most similar tech start ups struggle more. Agree possibility of a sp surge on news is high and as noted £11m in bank will go a long way in building shareholder value in due course. Early holders will benefit most.
