More Info. anuary 2, 2015 Baron Oil plc("Baron Oil", "Baron" or the "Company"Statement by the Board of Directors The Board of the Company is saddened to announce that its CEO, Rudolph Berends, passed away today. Mr Berends has been Chairman and CEO of the Company since August 2012 and will be deeply missed. Our thoughts are with the family of Mr Berends at this difficult time. The Board will now commence a process to identify a suitable candidate for the position of CEO of the Company. In the intervening period, Bill Colvin will act as Executive Director of the Company. The Board anticipates that it will make a further announcement on its progress in due course.
Rudolph Berends, Sadly, Rudolph Berends has passed away. An executive CEO has been appointed.
Re: BOIL onshore drilling Mayflower,Your posts do keep my chin up in these rather grim times. I am encouraged by the imminence (is that a word?) of expected news .good or bad, I hate waiting around. With $x billion of work now deferred worldwide it reduces in my mind to a binary: they proceed or they don't. Unless one is trying to calculate the probabilities of this for a trading decision, I am only interested in the outcome (i.e. I am hanging on regardless at this point). Cheers.
Re: BOIL onshore drilling final meeting for EIA license in December then they can get going. well costs are vv low in this region about $1-1.5m i think!. so o/heads low also.
Still Hopeful Thanx Mayflower27....... Best to all!
Re: Still Hopeful........ Thought?? ON50. I think the onshore block has huge potential. BOIL now hold 100%, fully funded to 2-3 wells, confirmed live oil/gas pteroleum system and costs just $1.5m per well!. Very low overheads and significant potential. There have been a series of meetings re; final EIA approval in recent weeksand hopefully news in December!. Once they have the EIA the plan it to agressively develop the block starting immediately when EIA secured. I hope the block is as good as the adjoining block XIII which produces significan volumes of oil and gas.
Still Hopeful........ Thought?? Perhaps in the current environment of low oil prices a drill platform for deep water could be rented at more favourable prices. Any views on this thought.Best to all.............
