Worth a Punt Been watching BLUR for some time and bought (tranche 1) at 34p today.$17.4m in the bank 31/12/14''new revenue recognition policy has been rigorously applied from mid 2014'H2 revenues $33m (40% enterprise)2014 revenue figures will be re-stated and materially below previous guidance of $49m but hopefully $33m is ringfenced. For a MCAP <£20m, it's worth a punt. I'm expecting a trading update with the revision and the inevitable SP will bring more buying opportuity.Mind you I had the same plan with AFREN !!!!
Re: Hi cold as......... There goes another FD Old Cobbler.....as you say track record speaks for itself.I would have thought he was quite well qualified for the job.
Oh dear oh dear oh dear RNS from today:blur Group Plc (BLUR), the online marketplace for business services, today announces that Stephen Harvey has stepped down from his non-Board position as Group Chief Financial Officer with immediate effect ahead of a personal bankruptcy hearing due to be held on 18 May 2015. This is a personal matter wholly unrelated to the Group. Ends.So the guy in charge of the money at blur a) doesn't even sit on the board and b) is going bankrupt. Tells you all you need to know about this company.
Re: This is going to rocket ! coldascheeseI seem to have avoided getting trampled to death in the rush to buy blur stock back when you tipped it was going to 'rocket' back in January. I also can't seem to find any institutional support whatsoever.I can't wait to see the restated accounts which will be a train wreck.
Re: Buy recommendation. I'm afraid it's a story of a Charmless Man....www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1a_4CN4onA<[link]
Total dog Lastest RNS says it all.Anyone who holds this stock is certifiable and Philip Letts wouldn't know the truth if it mugged him on the street.A disgrace of a PLC.
Down 30%.... Just tried to post Tom Winnifrith's article on wwwshareprophets.com, but apparently the language is inappropriate...." to examine this whole sorry saga from top to bottom"
NEW ARTICLE: Blur warning sparks sell-off "Former technology high-flier blur Group (BLUR) has plunged to a record low after warning that revenue in 2014 will miss forecasts by miles. Its auditors and the Financial Reporting Council are also currently trying to sort out recognition of ..."[link]
Rns Evidence of past b???T"a number of older projects started between late 2013 and early 2014, which have experienced delays, have shown a lower likelihood of completion. As a result the recognised revenue for the full year will be substantially lower than previously expected."Know what you are dealing in. Dyor.
Re: £0.75m project just listed True, but it's the biggest I've seen for a while. I check the new project listing page regularly but I suspect it shows just a sample rather than a full listing of new projects. I think blur runs a number of websites for different kinds of business activities, is this right?
Re: £0.75m project just listed Hardly big is it?
£0.75m project just listed Chunky sized project just listed for UK company. Encouraging to see these biggies keep arriving
Re: Raising profile hether -fluff written in the IC or Shares magazine is completely meaningless. These are the same publications that thought Wandisco was a buy just before the SP tanked 90% and also tipped Naibu (suspended) and Quindell (enough said). Their tips are pointless and ill researched.Until such time that blur can actually shows meaningful growth it is not worth £5M let alone £40M. Their burn rate is horrendous, they continue to make a stonking loss, and the CEO is a self promoting charlatan that is simply unable to communicate openly and honestly with investors. The SP may well trickle up (perhaps considerably) in the coming weeks but there is nothing underlying to back up this sentiment and in the long run blur need a new CEO if it is ever going to be a success. Letts' last venture in the US tells you all you need to know...
Raising profile Congratulations Valuespotter. You have exceeded your brief with the posting find, on the Blur webpage.Transferred with thanks to ADVFN.Combined with the I/C write up, the end of a good week for the company.
Buy recommendation. The times they are a changing.Blur is now the new young darling of the I/C.That's why buying began about 10 am.The report is fulsome & glowing in the back cover of the mag.The section where they handle director@s dealings. The whole column is devoted to a buy rating for Blur.Letts quoted on the companies ability to make greater margins from the big boys who are now queueing up.Not sure I have seen that before ?Covers the financial future & puts the fall down correctly to an re-statement of the bottom line calculations.
