Boom! Leaky leaky or what? Massive buying pressure here today, and I’ve got my average down to 7.4p so I am hopeful that I’ll be in the money again on any decent news here. Fingers crossed guys and gals, Tot
Operations update Just for fun here’s the BLOE graph (March 2019 to Sept 2019) superimposed over T0T’s Psychology chart!! Encouraging I’d say! BLOE Chart.JPG1214x701 79.6 KB
Operations update Great wordpress chart ToT should have had the courage and the funds! maybe Monday now! Eyeson
Operations update Well, when the bid dropped to 4.2 this morning as the last of the lemmings jumped off the cliff it became irresistable, so I sold my holding in HOC and piled in. Now holding 610k of these and will add a few more on any decent pullbacks as she climbs back to a realistic valuation. Good luck all, Tot
Operations update Thanks TP. I note that the lemmings are still jumping off the cliff here and an even better buying opportunity seems to be coming, perhaps at around the 4p level where the big rise started. At that point the current investor sentiment cycle will be complete and a new one will begin. This link sums it up quite well:[link]
Operations update Well said, ToT. I too took advantage and topped up this morning. The detractors don’t understand the potential here. TP
Operations update I think the market reaction to today’s RNS proves that most PI’s haven’t a clue and shouldn’t be investing in the sector. It is abundantly clear from the RNS that the 16az well has been a valuable learning experience for the company and this has enabled them to improve the well design for 38az to eliminate the possibility of water ingress from the Upper Eocene. They are also implementing an evaluation and intervention programme designed to isolate and reduce the water that 16az is producing, with a view to increase net oil production. I therefore took advantage of the misinformed selling today and added to my holding. I expect to add more in the coming days and weeks, depending on the performance of other stocks I own. Good luck to all who have stuck with it. Tot
Operations update Have you read the RNS ? They’ve had problems with well 16az and more more water than would have been expected. Analysts think this is because they used the old Soviet cemented well instead of drilling a new one. This is similar to what happened with FRR. The market doesn’t like news that restricts the amount of money a company makes, no matter how much the company says of how they plan to get around this issue. However, the new well 38az has less chance of water as it is higher up the table, and also Block would have learnt from their mistakes on 16az so we will have to wait for the results.
Operations update Before it got its own discussion board, Block was being discussed on FRR board. I don’t hold Block shares but I do have a big (for me) holding in FRR. So, as Block are in the same market and country (Georgia), I am worried they dropped over 19% on an update. Is this a potential problem for Block or more worrying for me, is this an issue related to geography i.e., Georgia? I’m always still hopeful FRR will resurrect and wish any Block shareholders all the best.
Post from Gary1960 of LSE Message from T’bilisi…Fri 20:31 Guys I am in Georgia until next Monday - staying in central T’bilisi just off Rustaveli Avenue. I have to say there are some great people out here but there is also grinding poverty that would not look out of place in the third world. There are lots and lots of stray cats and dogs - but there are also a great many destitute and homeless people laying about on the streets. I met up with a Georgian tour guide and we went out to the far east of the Kakheti Region and it was mostly rural but again great levels of poverty, poor housing, terrible roads and general infrastructure run down and grubby. The tour guide told me that Georgia has “great natural resources†but the Government over the previous 30 years had stood idle and done nothing. Only in the last few years have things started to get better with some inwards investment and a more liberal government policy. We went for dinner with one of his old school friends and their extended family. The daughter is 38 years old and earns just 11 euro equivalent a day - working 10 hours a day picking grapes. Georgia is desperate for inward investment and to be independent of energy needs from Russia and Azerbaijan. Currently they produce very little of their own oil or gas and are tied to costly imports. When people on here start saying they hope Block Energy goes bust maybe they should stop and think what they are saying and that energy (especially the gas) could make a fundamental difference to the country as a whole.
Rough ride Yep, market and block’s poor comms. Changed sentiment and now has a self made mountain to climb. Promising company though. A steal at this price. TP
Rough ride Block are getting a rough ride at the moment, but I think it’s mainly down to general market conditions. All my watchlist is currently red and some that I’ve watched for over 12 months are down 100pc.
Production restarted Prep underway for drilling 16aZ sidetrack. Glad I topped up when I did. Back to double figures imminent. TP
