DEMAND THAT IT WILL PARIZE ALL BERKELEY MINING PERMITS DEMAND FOR THE NATIONAL HEARING EQUO AND ECOLOGISTS IN ACTIONWe request that the Resolution of the Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism of December 9, 2015, rejecting the appeal filed against Order IET / 1944/2015, dated September 17, Secretary of State for Energy, granting to Berkeley Minera España, SL, prior authorization as a first category radioactive installation of the nuclear fuel cycle of the uranium concentrate manufacturing plant at Retortillo (Salamanca), published in the BOE No. 230 of September 25, 2015.That subsidiarily and by estimating the appeal, declare the annulability of the same retrotrayendo the actions until the moment before the beginning of the Environmental Impact Assessment process and this being the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism the substantive body in charge of granting the authorizations , Prior, construction and operation, in the case of a radioactive installation subject to RD 1836/1999, and consequently, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment is responsible for carrying out the Environmental Impact Statement and not the regional administration.Fundamentals of Law:The Order appealed is null and void for failing to carry out the Environmental Impact Assessment of the radioactive facility it authorizes. The DIA approved by the Junta de Castilla y León is contrary to Law because it has not carried out the Environmental Impact Assessment of the storage of radioactive waste nor the contribution of mineral from the satellite plants. The DIA approved by the Junta de Castilla y León is contrary to law because it has considered that there are no transboundary effects of the activity. The DIA approved by the Junta de Castilla y León is contrary to law because it has not evaluated the environmental impact of uranium from other "satellite" farms in the authorized plant. The DIA approved by the Junta de Castilla y León is contrary to Law because it affects an integral part of the "Natura 2000 Network"The Authorization Order of the appealed installation is contrary to law because neither the suitability of the site nor the proposed objective has been proven.
CompromÃs calls for precautionary stoppage of the uranium mine project in Salamanca Senator Carles Mulet moves a battery of initiatives at the request of the platform opposed to this project and calls for more studies that evaluate the impact. The Senator of Compromis, Carles Mulet at the urging of members of the Stop Uranium Platform, has moved a series of parliamentary initiatives from the Senate, asking for the precautionary stoppage of the project, and demanding, among other things, the preparation of a study to the Institute of Health Carlos III.Compromis from the Senate has asked that the Board of Castile and Leon and all the competent bodies contribute the studies elaborated on the impact on the health of the people since the DIA does not evaluate at any moment the risk of radiological contamination, which leaves it To subsequent assessments of its effects on the operating company itself. TEXT OF THE MOTION SUBMITTED TO THE SENATE:The Berkeley Minera España S.A. Intends to open an open-pit uranium mine in the province of Salamanca (Spain) near the border of Portugal, in the municipalities of Retortillo and Villavieja de Yeltes. For this purpose, it has been granted the exploitation permit by the Junta de Castilla y León, according to the announcement of the Territorial Service of Industry, Commerce and Tourism of Salamanca published in the BOCYL dated 06/04/2014.Next to the mine will be built a plant for the treatment of the extracted uranium ore that was authorized by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism through Order IET / 1944/2015, of 17 September, but this authorization is appealed before the Audiencia The irregularities detected in the administrative procedure followed for its grant. The Duero Hydrographic Confederation has also been granted the permits for discharges and discharges, although the latter are appealed by the Town Council of Villavieja which has its water catchment a few kilometers downstream of the mine.At the local level pending the authorization of exceptional use of rustic land and urbanistic license, having completed the process of submitting allegations on January 3.In Europe, there are only uranium mines in the Czech Republic and Romania, with all uranium mines closed down in Western Europe. Countries like France, Portugal or Spain have abandoned this mining activity because of their high environmental impact and low profitability. The European institutions have to resolve a complaint made by the EQUO party and the Grupo Verdes de Portugal for the negative effects of the mine on the Environment. In addition, the mine is located next to the Yeltes River, whose margins have been declared ZEC and ZEPA spaces according to the recent Decree 57/2015 of 10 September, which declare special areas of conservation and areas of special protection for The birds, and regulates the basic management and conservation planning of the Natura 2000 Network in the Community of Castilla y León.The inhabitants of this area oppose the mine because of the negative effects that this activity will be for the Region, and the existence of an open pit a few kilometers from some villages (2.5 km in the case of Retortillo ) Will cause discomfort and dangers for people living in this land: explosions with expulsion of dust to the atmosphere (negative effect of radon gas), continuous racking of trucks and heavy machinery, leaching in rafts with risk of rupture that would lead to a catastrophe Of incalculable consequences. It is also necessary to count on the negative effects that the environment has for this type of farms: a crater of several hectares of extension and more than a hundred meters of depth will be formed, with the consequent loss of the forest mass, deviations of the Water courses, etc.It is surprising that in the Environmental Impact Statement approved by the Regional Ministry of Development and Environment of the Junta de Castilla y León through Ordinance FYM / 796/2013 (BOCYL of October 8), the only consideration relating to the health
Re: shuggle back in myself friday..australia finished on good volume 69p last night, hoping to break 70p and ride it up.
back in for the head left shoulder in now the head should get to 80p plus
Re: shuggle when i sold the 50000, i could sell and buy for 68p some of the 68p trades were sells, that was through barclays..believe it or not
Re: shuggle whatever!
Re: shuggle sold 50000 at 68.01p fact
Re: shuggle i dont believe you got 68.1p to sell 50k shares they have not been that high all day or yesterday
Re: agument yes agree. Its a bit of a gamble trying to book some profits.Unless it falls heavily with good volume i'll be tempted to re-enter at 56/57 with a modest profit. But any news could put this into overdrive. The whole Uranium sector is motoring at the moment as buyers look for long term supply contracts deals ( just look at Geiger Counter NPV). Its a good time to be invested in Uranium after nearly a decade of low prices and inactivity. Good projects like BKY are few and far between and particularly in a stable economy in the EU. My guess is it will be over £1 by end of 2017 or sold for similar consideration
Re: agument Agree with the retrace, the bottom of the uptrendline says we could possible see around 50p, but I think 20dma will hold at around 57p at the present..
Re: shuggle yes tend to agree. I sold most of my holding piecemeal over the last few days to bake in profit. Will re-enter when (if) there is a return to the previous trentline (mid 50's). Kept about 30K just in case it doesn't
Re: shuggle would have to agree with you, chart looking a bit top heavy.bought yesterday for a quick trade as expected to close the gap on Australia's close at 73p, today Australia down to 70.50p, so have sold 50000 at 68.01 today very small profit, and trade not yet showing up, the trade after mine could only get 67.58p, so i am expecting a drop in sp, warning its tough to sell a large amount once sp corrects.going long i can see 100p being reached sometime this year
