Unloved established income payer with stable financial health. BGEO… XXXXX H.L. Chart shows the new price after demerger was 1832p ( 30th May 18 ) Been sharp decline since Wednesday 8th August due to ramping up of sanctions on Turkey and massive fall in Turkish lira which they might have a big exposure to . All banks have suffered fear of contagion . Also further sanctions on Russia. Price has fallen to 1576. ( approx 16 % )
£35 Any thoughts on whether this will tick back up to £35 or have they lost their income generator in CGEO?D
Re: Unloved established income payer wit... Broker sold and bought back on the 18th May but appears the demerger happened on 28th May .Now have equal number of Georgia Capital, ( CGEO )Not sure what percentage drop on original needed to calculate profit / loss .On Tuesday ( Monday bank holiday ) 28th they fell to approx 2000p closed on the Friday 3113p .Someone's posted that price represents no change. ( - 35.75% approx. )
Re: Demerger Thanks for the explanation. I've had a good run here. But I cannot tell from the accounts which bit CGEO or BGEO is the engine/cash cow?
Re: Demerger Payout per share? It's a demerger of one CGEO per BGEO held.BGEO closed on Friday at 3,113p. Currently BGEO is about 2,005p and CGEO 1,100p, so very little net change, especially given FTSE is down 1.33%. There was a bit of confusion at open, with BGEO trading as high as 2,349p, which was nice!I can't comment on whether CGEO 'is worth investing in'. Both BGEO and CGEO are trading in the FTSE 250 index, for now at least.
Demerger So what will be the payout per share? And is CGEO worth investing in?
Re: Unloved established income payer wit... Just looked seems to have done well since my buy August 15
Small trades. Multiple small trades (less than ten shares) listed here today and yesterday. Several trades of one share, 3 shares, 8 shares. etc. It has been suggested in the past that this is a sign of "organised" trading, or short selling with each trader having an assigned number. However, if organised short selling is taking place it is somehow below the radar.Moon
Back to recent highs + 3 % today , been ticking upwards lately.
