Re: Shell B to replace BG shares? - JohnnyG >No one gets the dosh until 29th Nov - it'll be a loooooong weekendThat WOULD be a long weekend. I think you mean February?GLTA
Re: Shell B to replace BG shares? Hi Sharenov - I reckon you're being a bit harsh here...No one gets the dosh until 29th Nov - it'll be a loooooong weekend.....then you can spend the money on Monday....I'm looking at more Shells since Brexit fever (and possibly mad Boris) is helping up the divi to £1.32+ CheersJG
Re: Shell B to replace BG shares? Similarly, I still have to receive my cash in the deal. Maybe III is not a good firm to deal with??
Re: Shell B to replace BG shares? Batteryman,You're right. It's a pretty poor show that it's not done automatically for you!LKH on the flybridge
Shell B to replace BG shares? I take it that the BG share price now showing in my iii portfolio needs to be manually deleted and replaced with the No of Shell 'B' shares I now own (once I get the confirmation).I have not had any cash or confirmation of my 'B' share holding as yet but I can calculate it OK as I opted for the default option in the end.
Re: worse to come 8 Many thanks for correcting my misapprehension.
Re: worse to come 8 Surely Questor is talking about British Gas, the domestic retailer that is100% owned by Centrica and contribute significantly to Centrica's turnover and profit, and NOT BG, the exploration and extraction company now owned by Shell?
Re: worse to come £8 Curious that in yesterday s Sunday Telegraph, Questor appears to believe that Centrica s future is dependent on BG s on-going performance.Maybe he should take some time to read press releases........
Re: worse to come £8 "target 638<<<my software STILL quoting this..perhaps the offer to be withdrawn??"Oh dear lg ... maybe you should program your software to append "give or take 60% or so" or E.& O.E. to it's forecasts.
Re: paper share certificates Thanks Shaggster, being a pensioner I left things as they were and went for the simple option in the belief that shell was a good deal divi wise. I have certainly got my monies worth from BG and will now have to wait to see which way the mop flops before deciding on my next option.
Re: paper share certificates Unless you completed the opt out form for the Shell Nominee service - which was included in all the correspondence, you will (like me) be waiting for confirmation through Equiniti. Once the first divi is banked I am sure I will elect for the scrip or DRIP scheme (whatever they have in place)
paper share certificates I have paper share certificates from the "Sid" days and I am lazily taking the default option, do I now get new Shell B certificates plus the cash or do I have to trust Equiniti to look after my holdings and perhaps tell me how many B shares they are holding for me.
no info on shell b shares have opted for full shell b deal but as yet have not heard a thing since merger any thoughts
Re: cash element I doubt we will all get the cash on the same day. But hopefully we will all have it by the 29th Feb.My reasoning is, that both Shell and our brokers have to work out and distribute our entitlements. Some brokers are very efficient and may well get your cash entitlement credited quite quickly after Shell send them the cheque. But others, like iii, will probably be more tardy.
Re: Shares but no cash I believe that everyone will get the cash element on the same day, the 29th February.
