JV deal with PREM.. in the pipe line? with DL links with PREM dont be surprised if BCN take a stake in PREM lithium project in ZIM
Re: RNS Just reiterating swiftbird's post and mine,There's a Corporate Presentation on the BCN website which includes the Zinwald investment announced on 21st February. So the Presentation has been compiled fairly recently.[link] a look, particularly the Zinwald investment of 50% with the option of picking up the remaining 50% within 24 months I think it was. With Cinovec within 2 miles of Zinwald, and both mines being just 30 miles from Kamenz where Daimler is building a Gigafactory, even though nothing has been announced, surely Daimler will take every gram of lithium from both mines.Initially, I thought that the Daimler Gigafactory at Kamenz was a brand new factory. But it's not. It is already in production. The Daimler gigafactory is to triple the size of the existing Plant. See the following news item from Car & Driver made a year ago..The latest is Daimler, which has announced plans to drop more than $540 million on a new battery plant scheduled to open two summers from now. Daimlers existing 215,000-square foot facility in Kamenz, two hours south of Berlin, will triple in size by 2017. Since it opened in 2012, the plant has built an average of just under 18,000 lithium-ion batteries a year for the few hybrids and EVs Daimler has had on the market. [link] that news release made 1st March 2016 is accurate that the new Daimler Gigafactory will open two summers from then, the second summer is just 5 or 6 months away. Zinwald and Cinovec will have to step up a gear or two.YB
Re: BCN and its siblings Basilicata. I only mean that as far as I can see, BCN appear the most advanced in terms of getting the stuff out of the ground and into manufacturing sources. The SP would appear to bear this out as it's bubbling along nicely. All IMHO.
BCN and its siblings Bluemogganer (Thu 168): "I think BCN is the best of the lot"Interested why you think BCN better than EMH. (Not necessarily disagreeing with you, just curious. I like both.)
Re: RNS There is a corporate presentation on the website which is bang up to date. Here is the link.[link]
Re: RNS Hi strapuk,The Boulby Mine is on my doorstep with SXX just down the road. In fact, just got in from doing a bit of shopping in Whitby.I was in SXX until a few months ago. Decided to move the money about but keeping my eye on SXX. Last time I looked, they were talking of 5 years to sink the shafts and build the 40km tunnel to Tees Port. Work to start this year. All the bestYB
Re: RNS Many thanks for that YB. Yes, open pit mining should allow a much faster start to actual mining. Also a long term holder in SXX which is a completely different animal from a civil engineering perspective. Trying very hard to tuck both these away and ignore market noise until production starts, but it is always tempting to keep up with the machinations - both +ve and -ve!
Re: RNS Afternoon strapuk,Finding some definite dates for starting production is a bit thin on the ground. At Sonora, the Company is focused on completing a Bankable Feasibility Study for a 35,000 tpa Li2CO3 operation by Q1 2017, after which detailed design and site preparation work will commence in Q2 2017.[link] state Sonora Site preparation work will commence in Q2 2017. With the Sonora Project being an Open Pit, production would I hope be within a year to 18 months. The Zinwald mine is to be re opened. It has been going since the 16th century mining tin.The Telegraph article states 'Sonora, which is expected to enter production in 2019, remains the focus for the company, Mr Secker said. However, he added: Bacanora plans to grow into an international lithium group. Well take it stage by stage, and look at assets as they come up. [link] a Corporate Presentation on the BCN website which includes the Zinwald investment announced on 21st February. So the Presentation has been compiled fairly recently.[link] very positive but definitely one for the longer term.YB
Re: RNS Yes, Feasibility Study complete 2017, but how long to then develop the mine, (assuming FS proves +ve of course!), into a revenue earning asset?Definitely a leap of faith here, and yes I am a holder.
Re: RNS The Expiry date for the Directors of BCN to take up the Options is March 1st 2020 at today's SP of £0.85. A time span of 36 monthsThe 50% investment in the Zinwald mine goes towards a feasibility study which will be completed within 18 - 24 months. Geographical location of the Zinwald Project provides potential access to new markets, which diversifies risk and complements potential target markets for the Company's Sonora project in Mexico where a Feasibility Study is on track for completion in 2017. Note! ON TRACK FOR COMPLETION IN 2017In the RNS of 21st February, BCN has the option to acquire the outstanding 50% held by SolarWorld within a 24 month period for EUR30 million. From a Directors perspective, Sonora and Zinwald will, hopefully, all be coming to fruition within 24 months with positive indicators in the meantime. Taking out Options for the Directors is a no brainer, Money in the bank. As PI's, our Options are to buy now at today's SP and hold long term, In my view, money in the bank or my pension pot! YB
Options Not impressed that the company is being so generous to Directors while losses widen.Looks like rewarding failure. Why not announce a dividend to private investors. We also have done nothing much apart from giving them our money.GLA
RNS It will be interesting to see how many of these options will be taken up by directors and staff as it would give a real indication of the confidence of employees - those closest to the concern - to the likely success or otherwise of the concern.
Re: £16K Buy this morning Assume you mean £1.30! I think BCN is the best of the lot and I have virtually come out of REM. I seem to recall in the CEO's report that 2017 was likely to be a landmark year for the concern so here's hoping! At least I am in the blue nowadays!
£16K Buy this morning Although it has drifted off of highs this is on track for the brokers forecast of £130.
