Re: Can we have some news? Well yes we got some news but disappointed with the timescales. I wonder why it takes so long (18 months) to get a processing plant up and running?

Re: Can we have some news? We have news, or at least a Sonora project update. All would appear to be going to plan with feasability study scheduled to finish at the end of the year.Hope it shows production IS feasible otherwise we are in a spot of bother!GLA,Cheers,Chozza

Re: Toyota cracks magnesium battery Can#t work out if these Toyota design solid stae are lithium based?[link] Power, for now, is trying to commercialize its solid electrolyte combined with a lithium-metal anode and a more conventional nickel-manganese-cobalt lithium-ion chemistry. This design can produce an energy density increase of one-quarter to one-third at the cell level, compared to the cells in a Tesla Model S, Garrett estimated; additional gains are expected at the pack level.[link] difference between a conventional lithium-ion battery and a solid-state version is the electrolyte composition between the cathode and the anode. Conventional lithium-ion batteries use a liquid electrolyte, but require relatively large spacers between each cell (20-30 micron separators per cell). comparison, a solid-state lithium-ion battery requires just 3-4 microns for separators.[link]

Re: Toyota cracks magnesium battery 25 July[link] Motor Corp. said Tuesday it was nearing a major technological breakthrough in electric-car batteries, as the world’s second-largest car maker by sales accelerates its push to build all-electric vehicles.[link] is touting its progress on a new kind of battery technology, which uses a solid electrolyte instead of the conventional semi-liquid version used in today’s lithium-ion batteries. The car maker said that it’s near a breakthrough in production engineering that could help it put the new tech in production electric vehicles as early as 2020, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Re: Tesla Huge Battery Deal I think I read somewhere that France plan to have all petrol and diesel cars off the road by 2040. Doubt I will be around then so I hope us long suffering shareholders benefit somewhat long before then! BCN in my opinion would appear to be the best bet!

From the Hanwa Medium Term Business Plan.[link] Establish future sources of additional earnings by continuing strategic investments of about ¥30 billion over three years・Rather than making only a few large acquisitions, execute diversified mergers and acquisitions and flexible alliance investments in high-quality small and midsize companies.・Create opportunities for strategic investments in the food products, petroleum and chemicals, lumber and other business sectors.・Make strategic investments in natural resource sectors with distinctive characteristics.・Make carefully targeted strategic investments in the growing markets of Southeast Asia and the large markets of North America.Food for thought. 30 billion Yen over 3 years???YB

O/T KENV For anyone who's interested in miners - here's an early stages play that you might be interested in. N.B. KENV is described as an investment company, but it's got a 75% stake in a tantalum mine in Namibia.[link] I'm not spamming/ramping - I'm only posting on BCN and SXX as two other miners I'm invested in as others have expressed an interest in similar stocks in the past.DYOR.

Placing 10% dilution. Shares bought by Hanwa for 82p.I guess a few PIs would have liked to have a few at that price but no such luck.At least it cements Hanwa's commitment to the company.May cause a terrace and a buying opportunity, who knows.TP
