Re: Encouraging I'm just a small investor, but asked for 1k with iii and got the requested amount, guessing chips uses the same broker looking at the symbol next to their name.
Re: Encouraging Chip, I guess that confirms my thought that the application from a broker on behalf of several clients counts as a single application. May I ask which broker?Regards,Seadoc
Re: Encouraging I applied for £5,000 worth and got them all.
Re: Encouraging Seadoc,I returned to TDW on Sunday whilst thinking about taking up the offer but the offer had been removed from my Corporate Actions page.Maybe I dreamt it...As I described a couple of days ago, £11k on one share would have damaged the beautiful symmetry of my small, but perfectly formed, portfolio so, maybe, it was for the best!If BBOX now rockets, I will allow my bottom lip to quiver...MW
Re: Encouraging Hi MostlyWrong,I have been offered a chance to take up this placing by the managers of two of my ISAs (Barclays and iDealing), and both would appear to accept orders smaller than 10,000, or £11,000, I guess because they expect the total applications will cross this threshold, but should I be the only applicant then I will get zero allocation? FWIW Barclays took the cash immediately whereas iDealing left the cash in my account but reduced the amount available to deal. But just because I am lazy I applied for a multiple of £110, and as I quite fancy the prospects I have applied for a multiple of £11,000Regards,Seadoc
Re: Encouraging I have just had the same news from TDW, which surprised me as I, too, thought it was only for the big boys. Then I read the small print: minimum subscription of 10,000 shares @ 110p.So, that'll be for the big boys then!I am tempted... but this is my trading account and not my SIPP or ISA so I don't feel the full benefit of the PID. And it would drastically distort my perfectly formed portfolio! But I also note that I subscribed to the last issue in July 2014 and I have since had a 10% capital gain plus 2 divs. The company is doing what it promised - unlike certain others in my portfolio.Oh dear. I will have to think hard over the weekend!MW
Re: Encouraging Had email from iii advertising various IPO's - Tritax Big Box REIT Closing date: Tuesday 17th Marc
Re: Encouraging Keith,Don't think 2.9% is a small discount and, unless I'm mistaken PIs won't be able to participate. We come last again. I'm out.
Re: Encouraging Looks like you was right Jaonsax this latest placing takes Tirtax to over £600m (I think)You topping up at the slight discount to current price?
Re: Director shareholdings? OK, I found it in the prospectus. Directors only own 0.07% or 164,000 shares. I would prefer if they had a larger investment!
Director shareholdings? Anyone know what they own? I can't find any information on this.
Re: Encouraging Feels like last time, that the placing will be the forerunner to another larger fundraising rights issue etc. The manager has a large financial incentive to get the capital to £500m so I expect we will see more share issues until we reach that point.
Re: Encouraging Yes, the placing dilutes sp by an immediate 3% and they give us an extra 1% div as a sweetener with perhaps another institutional placing and another bit of PID next month. They do present however quite clearly and convincingly (to my innocent mind) what the co sees as the advantages to PIs for the future and I am more or less happy all in all. Still early days but they seem to keep doing the right things. If they do succeed in plans for 6% yield, at least some of which will be PID, then yippee.
Re: Encouraging Placing today at 105p so not good news for PI's as you say
