Management Purchases That will do for some good news.More management buys, never a bad thing, quite large amounts too.If they don't know how well things are going then who does ?

Good News Needed This needs some positive news to move above its 10p ceiling at the moment.Long term if all goes to plan this is worth many multiples of where we are.Equally things could go wrong and game over.My money is in play for a bright (light) future.Does anyone think that the great news on Immunotherapy treatments has had an adverse effect on the share price ?I think it may have., although I don't think it should have..

Re: Final results Buy on rumour sell on news is the old adage. Still lots of upside here. It can all go wrong if they can't get the technology to work. But I topped up and will throw some more cash at it if the price stays at these levels.

Re: Final results I doubt any City institution wiould be selling because of these final results. The investment case hasn't changed from yesterday. The drop will be due to private investors selling on news after hoping the final results would reveal something new that would set the share price alight.

Re: Final results Judging by today's 9%+ fall, there is some disappointment in the City otherwise if it was profit taking I suspect that this would have been done yesterday. This is a speculative investment in a potentially worthwhile product. It is likely that there are other companies around the world developing similar technologies. As such, I rate as a HOLD and accept that it is at least possible that the company may fail. At any rate, if the company succeeds, it will be a long while before it pays dividends but hopefully we may see good share price growth.Cheers, F

Final results Looks very bullish to me. Love this statement at the end. OUTLOOKIn closing, the journey in 2015 promises to be exciting as we underpin the advancements we have made to date and seek to capture the opportunities that are in front of us. We truly believe that the Company is at a clear inflection point in a radiation therapy market that is set to transform itself. With ever increasing health demands from a growing and ageing population for a more affordable and targeted proton therapy, we believe that the LIGHT system will provide a key role in helping contain costs and at the same time improve overall patient care.Enormous opportunities lie ahead of us, and we are confident that Advanced Oncotherapy will go from strength to strength, for the benefit of all its stakeholders.

Re: Technology investments Since you asked, not in the technology sector...rather pharma/nutrition. Take a look at OPTI (Optibiotix). The human micro biome is a hot sector and OPTI could go up at least 10x from here if they get the commercial deals they are targeting and their products prove to be as successful as some investors think...DYOR

Technology investments Hello out there,I guess if you are reading this you are interested in engineering and medical technological innovation. If so, then a look at Altran Technologies could be worthwhile. It is a French company quoted on the Paris CAC but easily investible through iii, TD and others. It has been established many years and it pays a modest dividend. It has divisions across the world, including the UK. It is involved in advanced engineering producing new patented inventions and bespoke solutions for a broad range of industries including medical, military and oil.The interesting part for the investor is its rate of growth as it is up by 250% in three years.[link] part of my portfolio is invested in technology with a particular emphasis on medical and pharma. Among my holdings are GW Pharma, BTG, Advanced Oncotherapy, and Imperial Innovations as well more established businesses such as Glaxo, Astra Zenica, and Hikma. I am currently mulling a punt in Pharma company Vectura. This part of my portfolio is a top performer albeit with some elements of risk as some of these companies are in their developmental stage.I would be interested to hear from others with an interest in this area.Cheers, frog in a tree.

Red Hot Penny Shares An update today. Author had recent discussion with CEO. More news of orders in coming months. Harley Street likely to have Clinic up and running several months before the Syracuse site now. This is due to the early interest of commercial treatment centres in Britain and China. A contract to run Harley Street is being negotiated with a Hospital group.

hi I was spot on at the 8p mark think by end of next week might be around the 9p mark never mind the institutional and directors got in early

Onceabroker 01 May 2015

Placing very good news At 8p not that much of a discount. £20m raised and fully funded. Placing oversubscribed and with new institutional investors on board we will probably see substantial aftermarket orders. Would be very surprised if it falls to 8p and if it does I am doubling up...

Re: Placing positive news Totally agree with you, aqualung. Mkt cap is still nigh on £100m. My own pattern of slaes of 5p stock was much the same asc yours.I'd be interested to re-enter in the 7-8p's and even that's a rather rich price.I am mindful that there may be another shot of good newsflow to produce a lift before whatever palm is held out for fundsm
