Lofty, The hedge ties them into paying off the debt at a fixed price when agreed, if goldprices rise as now ,the miner gains no benefit until hedge paid off, .The amount they borrowed is trifling compared , with future production potential.
Re LSE market report--Bruised miners. Me being non cynical and generous in mind, NOT...knowing that this board got rid of its Hedge ,a while back , leads to the possibility that BOD ,not so dim, especially as gold could well shoot back to over $2000 oz in a few months, .In which case this" Dead Duck", may well surprise even yet,,!!
Not too bad a day, trades down to 948000 but majority buys and sp up.
It is a shame to see posts of doom and gloom from investors that should know better than, risk toio much on a speculative share. And why post at all if they are out, Day trading maybe.
Re Gold , Wealth Daily ,Geoffrey Pike. Buy gold and move to the woods. Could it be the start of a snowball rolling effect??
