first quarter results All positive & once expansion completed & Touro starts producing we will be a decent mid tier producer throwing off large amounts of cash , assuming CU prices remaining at current levels, & extremely large amounts of cash if the CU price increases substantially over the next year or 2- at which point we will ,presumably,be paying very decent dividends.I do not expect any great change in outcome once the Judge makes his proclamation & we will have the cash flow to pay whatever is due & it will be a bonus if less than expected.Interesting if one our cornerstone investors wants it all as they will have to agree a price with the others-who I doubt would want to sell cheaply.Slow burner but at least many of we long termers are now in profit,even if not spectacularly so.

Re: 350p ? IIRC Canaccord have circa 300p on expansion of RT and 350p includes something for Touro, although the latter is still heavily discounted. I believe the expansion project is nearing 50% completion. Touro is still some time off.The court case with Astor has now been heard so now we just wait for the verdict. We can expect that any time in the next 4 weeks.We have been promised a resource update in Q2 so max 6 weeks to wait for that. It could be big if they start to include the additional pits.A major plus for us in the last few weeks has been the strengthening of the USD vs the EUR, driven by fundamentals as US inflation gathers pace and Eurozone inflation is still non existent. This acts to lower our AISC.All in all things are looking good at the moment. SBT

Battery metals supply crunch to slow near-term EVs growth — Moody's:[link] constraints affecting cobalt, lithium, copper and nickel, key metals for making the batteries that power electric cars, could slow production rates of such power storage units in the near term, Moody's Investors Service has warned.“Declining ore grades for copper, continued lack of investment in new mines and the time required to bring new discoveries to production will constrain metal availability and, ultimately, the metal sector's ability to meet growing demand from automakers for battery electric vehicle production,” Carol Cowan, a Moody's Senior Vice President wrote.The outlook is widely shared by other experts, including CRU analyst Hamish Sampson. According to him, unless new investments arise, existing copper mine production will drop from 20 million tonnes to below 12 million tonnes by 2034, leading to a supply shortfall of more than 15 million tonnes.The situation looks even worse when considering that over 200 copper mines currently in operations will reach the end of their productive life before 2035, Sampson said last month.Only if every single copper project currently in development or being studied for feasibility is brought online before then, including most discoveries that have not yet reached the evaluation stage, the market could meet projected demand, the consultant noted.

Re: Copper price 3.13 Hi velocipede.At the beginning of last year there was a strike at Escondida. The loss of production was significant enough to cause the world copper price to go up.After a month on strike the workers agreed to go back to work, on the condition that new contract discussions would happen this year. These discussions are due begin in June. If new contracts are not agreed by the end of July then it expected that there will be another, potentially much longer, strike. This would push the price of copper higher, which would then increase profits from copper sales at ATYM.Hope this helps.See also:[link]

Copper price 3.13 The copper price dipped below 3 last month, but has been creeping back up since then. Currently its at 3.13. This might be because of the looming deadline for negotiations at Escondida copper mine in Chile. They have until the end of July, but early talks aren't getting anywhere fast:[link]

Re: Buy now at 255 If I remember correctly, there were several LTHs who said they would be breaking even, or in small profit, at this price; and I wouldn't be surprised if some of them chose to exit now. So I'd expect a bit of price volatility. But I'm staying in as I expect the up trend to continue.

Buy now at 255 I was thinking that yesterday's rise may have been a spike and thereby offering the opportunity to top slice and buy back later. But no - it continues to rise. All we need now is a broker recommendation to sustain this price?
