Bargain Buy in Slovenia? Said all along that Carrots was dangerous and people should ignore him. Anyone who still has any skin in this game should get out now. There will be no offers or deals with other parties. The money to function runs out around the end of the year. One production well is rapidly depleting, the other is FUBAR. There is no money for workovers. There is no money to build the necessary skid to scrub the gas for local sales and lenders are not going to be as willing as they were years ago. The CEO works part time. And now AST are going to litigate against the very organisation that they rely on for their future survival. With what - buttons? This is an escape opportunity, not an investment one. Good luck to all who are still in here.

Bargain Buy in Slovenia? The inability of investors in Slovenia to rely on bureaucratic processes or the rule of law in the country makes any investment in Slovenia by foreign companies extremely high risk. In progressing our attempts to get the permits awarded we have become aware of similar cases in other industries, where overseas investors are suffering similar delays to Ascent’s. While we have the greatest respect for the Slovenian people, who we believe deserve better from their officials and their politicians who continue to profess the need for further foreign investment, we have regretfully reached the end of the line in waiting patiently for the Slovenian authorities to do the right thing. It is clear to the Board that any legal action in Slovenia would be waste of shareholders money. Your board has therefore resolved to explore commencing proceedings against the Environment Agency (“ARSO”), the Environmental Minister and the state of Slovenia directly in the EU courts. Further announcements will be made in due course. Colin Hutchinson, CEO of Ascent Resources plc, commented: “I am deeply disappointed that we have been let down once again by the Slovenian system given the private assurances received. I had hoped that the award of the permit would have marked the beginning of the next phase of the project, instead we are left once again reviewing our legal options to hold those responsible for the operation of the permitting system to account.”

Ascent Resources Partner to be absorbed into huge Slovenian Co. "Petrol". Article >>>>> Article link at bottom of this. Note Petrol are a huge Slovenian Plc, they just have an odd name! Ascent are very near the end of a strategic review. They are still talking to “More than one” Company after the data room was opened about 5 months ago. They are waiting for permits from the Slovenian Government, one of which was mentioned on an RNS dated 1st October. The CEO said:- “I am greatly encouraged by the progress made during September and believe that we are now very close to having the IPPC permit confirmed in the next few weeks.” So just under 3 weeks ago. Ascent Resources now 0.9p/1p, up yet again. Permit expected any day. The sp is telling us Ascent up 11.4% now. 0.95/1p.
