Re: So few posters and so silent! BREAKO... ASA is not without risk, but has tangible assets, has survived the commodity rout, and I believe offers a great opportunity to leverage the future rise in gold price. Imagine the value when gold is $10000 an ounce.

Re: So few posters and so silent! BREAKO... I've not posted here much or when it was Mwana but have been trading this since the Mwana days of 15pAm now buying and holding as this is a different beast now the Chinese are involved.

Re: So few posters and so silent! BREAKOUT! With it being quite on here I moved over to the board on [link] although I still watch ASA on the iii site because I use iii to trade and still have nearly a million shares in ASA.

Re: Gold mega rally I completely agree recent performance has been poor, but more than priced in to the SP now.I'm looking for companies that have weathered the commodity rout and have come out the other side without crippling debt and a few decent assets. Hopefully gold miners will front-run the gold spike with a bit of leverage too, look at Fresnillo with Silver.

Re: Gold mega rally Interesting article but the first major downside is that in twenty years time I may well not be around to appreciated the gain.More importantly investors either seek gold directly or a company that can be relied to produce it at a profit. The history, politics and self interest of this company count it out on that basis too.

Gold mega rally No end to money printing in sight, pretty massive upside potential for gold miners - [link]

Buy Buy Buy! Just thought this stock needed some positive energy attached to it instead of all the negative vibes from non holders.

Q4 update? more like up yours To be honest this report looks as if it was put together over lunch in a Chinese takeaway, apart from the three main supposedly money making operations, there is absolutely no reference to the fact that we have many more assets dotted around Africa. All the chairman did for his statement is reiterate the accountants figures, there's no mention as to what their plans might be for the future, or whether or not we actually have a future, overall this Q4 report is a pathetic attempt at trying to keep the market and us content.Maybe the BOD should make use of their company perks, they could be the first customers into the slaughter-house.

Re: 62% of what!!!!! There goes any controlled cost base. Diversification is good but gold and meat isn't a combination I've seen before!?peehaps they're gearing up a mass asset sale in commodities and moving to pastures new.....Pardon the pun!

Re: 62% of what!!!!! Alpha C, I can't find any information on either the slaughter house or Vital Profit Group, it's as if they didn't exist until the ASA deal cropped up, although most companies that start with "Vital" and end in "Group" are Chinese owned and run.Anybody throw any light on either of these companies.
