Re: So few posters and so silent! BREAKO... Strong support above 2p this morning after the short term drop in gold.I bought some more.
Re: So few posters and so silent! BREAKOUT! Well 2p has now gone - peaked at 2.7p pulled back and ready for another go.Could see 3-4p over the next few weeks - proper 10 bagger!Just think only 3 months ago these were 0.4p
Re: Market Worth? There was always genuine value here but badly managed. Whatever one thinks about the Chinese If they get this to 5p I will be happy, 10p, ecstatic, and anything much above that I will believe in miracles! Hey ho...
Re: Market Worth? Quote: "ASA is now valued in the market at £23 million.Anyone have estimates of how valuable the company could be in the future?"Well that was Tuesday and three days later we are currently worth £43 million, so on that basis your figures are quite plausible and I hope you are right.
Re: Market Worth? Worth even more after today's hugely significant update
Market Worth? ASA is now valued in the market at £23 million.Anyone have estimates of how valuable the company could be in the future? We have the second Zani Kodo gold resource, with higher grades than Freda Rebecca, yet to commence production, a copper resource of over 3 million ounces with good grades per tonne of ore, a diamond mine where work on the main fissure hasn't started yet and, importantly, the refurbished/upgraded BNC smelter well on the way for commissioning early in 2017 which will save $650,000 p.a. in transport costs to Durban, also save the smelting fees there and enable the refining of PGM concentrates from local suppliers for a good profit. The 16% share ownership by CIMGC will help ensure markets in China remain open for ASA as well.Gross profit's around $100m per annum look very feasible into the future (compared to $58m in FY14), albeit with $20m bonds to repay + interest due. Let's say $60m after interest/tax... with a multiple of 7 this would give £323m (1.3$$ to £ which is not far of x10 from where we are now... which equates to a share price of 20p in around 2 to 3 years all being well.
Re: Not exactly GKP board on here is it AlphaCentauri - I feel your sentiment, we've all been underwater with investments at some point. Timing is everything I guess. I genuinely hope this one comes good for you one day!
Re: Not exactly GKP board on here is it Aside from all the political and BoD shenanigans, the fundamental problem for GKP was the price of oil. With ASA we have gold entering a long run bull market and nickel price improving.
Re: Not exactly GKP board on here is it I just hope that the twitterati are daft enough to pile in and buy and put the price uo to my break even point.
Re: Not exactly GKP board on here is it Very quiet here I agree, but I am more confident about the future of ASA than I am about GKP, and at least my ASA shares are now showing a profit - which is more than I can say about GKP right now.
Not exactly GKP board on here is it More chat over on Twitter. Very promising update today.
Re: So few posters and so silent! BREAKO... Total money in the world = $80 trillion. Total value of gold @ $1300 per ounce = £8 trillion. If we went back to gold standard tomorrow, it would be over $10,000. How crazy is that, central bankers?
Re: So few posters and so silent! BREAKO... <Imagine the value when gold is $10000 an ounce. >I imagine that I will be dead by then.........!
Weak BUY On the 18th November last year I wrote "I guess because commodities like copper and zinc hit the lowest price since 2009 today. This is far too low to sustain the businesses which actually produce zinc, never mind fund new exploration for resources."ASA is one of the survivors which has retained a good base of assets and resources, with the price of zinc and gold recovering quickly at present.ASA could easily have a market value 5x to 10x the current market value of the company in a few years if the global economy improves whilst some of the larger companies with high levels of debt (e.g. Glencore) cut production; but it's difficult to strongly recommend buying more ASA stock with so much uncertainty around.
Re: So few posters and so silent! BREAKOUT! Another spurt coming now - 1.25p on the bid!
