ARM-based supercomputer It seems Fujitsu are building a supercomputer with ARM as the underlying processor architecture. I think that's very symbolic, showing that ARM can be used for big processing loads, not just as processors in consumer devices,[link] note that it won't exist until 2020 (see the article for more info)
Re: Share price increase "Seems a little fantastical to me." agreed gamesinvestor and Elephants can't run.It could double or halve in value given a year or two and a bull or bear market. The last 3.5 years SP broadly going sideways as has FTSE 100. SP doubled from close to £5 to £10 from 13 Jan 2011 to 1 May 2013 (2 years 4 months). After recession in 2010 SP had increased from £1 in 2009 to £2 in 2010 driven by bull market due to huge surge in demand from China.During tech bubble from 1998 to 2000 SP increased from 41p to 9400p over 2,000% increase, but fell back down afterwards so that by the low of 16 Oct 2002 (after a profit warning) back down to 41p a fall of 99.56% in about 3 years!ARM has not experienced very large swings in SP since 2013. I believe that as its market has widened in depth and width it's income stream has become clearer and valuations of company have become more realistic as time has gone by. ARM has been able to demonstrate that they can keep up and in many cases out compete their competitors. Now a more mature company whose value is less sentiment driven by the market.Over 10 years SP trend was 34.6% pa.Over last 5 years 15.6% pa.Over last 2 years 0.45% pa.Over last year -7.05% pa.With a yield of less than 1% and PE of 41 but PEG of 0.93 (anything <1 regarded as good), IMO SP unlikely to rise rapidly unless world economic growth improves appreciably. Perhaps worth holding for prospect of further growth but am a bit nervous holding a relatively large 4.89% of my portfolio in ARM. Thinking of reducing my holding by selling half for a CG of about 12.5%. Therefore rate as a weak sell. Low yield and high PE suggests to me high risk and can only be justified if they can maintain current high growth rate.
Re: Share price increase "Could ARM be £20 a share like some are saying?"Trafic, who's saying it, and what is their reasoning for indicating a more than doubling in the stock price? Seems a little fantastical to me.Games
Share price increase Could ARM be £20 a share like some are saying?

FILTRONIC'S Antenna Contract Share Price for Filtronic could well explode upwards - take off as 'ARM HOLDINGS' did all those years back. The orders are valued at approximately US$24.2 million and are follow-ons to the previously announced orders totalling US$13.8 million. [link]

Two interesting comparisons.. Compare today's news....[link] business models....ARM has 4,064 employees whereas Intel has over 120,000 (and is reducing that by 12,000)
Apple to buy Imagination? [link] bit of a stab in the dark, but this could be rather good for ARM, I'd guess. Apple aren't known for licensing their technology to others (do they ever?). So if Apple buy IMG, a number of PowerVR customers could be looking for a new supplier, for which ARM's Mali would seem the most obvious choice?

What Fall? What Fall?
Re: Results 10/02/16 Gosh, interesting - fall today is (presumably) driven by the NASDAQ fall overnight. My buy yesterday doesn't seem quite such a bargain - I may top up again at this price.I had a moderately thorough read of the results. I've not read what the pros are saying, or the earnings call transcript - will do soon I hope. My take on the doom and gloom would be that it's over the slight fall in licensing revenue; royalty revenue growth though was impressive, and looks set to continue. I'm certainly still optimistic longer term, so will be happy to buy, particularly at this price.
