Why AO willl never make a profit Does all a favour: comment on the share or jog on. Using these boards to make personal attacks on people you’ve never even met is rather pathetic, would you not agree/ Try and offer something of relevance about the share or company or sector and if you can’t the option of keeping your gob shut remains. Why AO willl never make a profit I wish. I’d have made a lot of money, trading against bozzos like Ripley. Sadly not. But being right has it’s own rewards as does laughing at the clowns who tried to ’ big up’ their underwater investment. This will never make a profit.

Why AO willl never make a profit “Shares in online electrical retailer AO World (AO.) have fallen by 56% in value since joining the stock market in 2014. According to brokerage Shore Capital, AO World is ‘in a perpetual downgrade cycle that, in our view, looks sustained’. The washing machines, TVs and laptops seller has consistently struggled to generate a profit at the all-important pre-tax line, reporting material losses [more than £38 m] for the past five years. The company operates on razor thin margins, having to source, sort and then deliver many big ticket items in a currently challenged domestic appliance market. Consumer uncertainty surrounding Brexit is impacting purchases of bigger ticket items, while competition in the electrical retail space remains ultra-competitive. Consensus forecasts show AO is expected to continue to report losses for the next few years. In my view, it will never make a pre tax profit, let alone generate a return on the capital which it has used generating consistent losses. It’s a dog, basically.
