Irritating Yes really good results… profit up … money in the bank up … one new well already started with another this year very soon … possibly 8(?) more next year … new pumping station etc etc all really positive Believe all wells drop over time some more than others for various reasons… maybe the flow rates were to high and been reined back to more sustainable levels … you are right that they could tell us more but that will be quickly forgotten once some of these new wells come on line … high hopes for 2019
Irritating I read the latest Interim report this morning, here: [link] which seems to contain nothing but good news: forthcoming drilling program, acquisition of Put-14 working interest, successful workover of Platanillo-22, successful increase in OBA capacity to 9,000bpd. Yet, nowhere is it explained why production has fallen from 7,000bpd at the start of the year to 5,000bpd now. I find it extremely irritating when companies do not give you the whole story but just try to put a positive spin on everything. If anyone can explain why production has fallen so much over the first half of the year I would be very grateful. It seems that the company is too embarrassed to tell us.
Monthly production numbers in 2018 Just to update my earlier table of monthly production numbers, average and peak Dec 2017 6971, 7061 Jan 2018 6837, 7142 Feb 2018 6749, 6960 Mar 2018 6476, 6647 Apr 2018 5794, 6365 May 2018 4807, 5344 Jun 2018 5171, 5400 Jul 2018 3929, 4547 Aug 2018 4927, 5295 Amerisur seem to have stabilised production for now, with production back up to where it was in May, but average production is still down 25% since March and 30% since last December. The expansion in capacity of the OBA is surely a show of confidence that the company can raise production to 9,000 bpd to fill it in the medium term. Fingers crossed for the drilling campaign.
Monthly production numbers in 2018 Numbers for August [click to view RNS] The numbers for last month show a slight improvement over previous data. It will be interesting to see how the PoO improvement over the past months have been converted into profit when we get the interims next week. Unfortunately there seems to be little progress on gatting the SP to move consistently upwards. I suspect the recent Rex Harbour disposals have not helped.
AMER spuds new well Shows how bad things are on ii with this format… discussion has almost dried up Amer spuds a long awaited new well and silence … almost !! I felt compelled to make a comment
Monthly production numbers in 2018 We now have the July Production Update, which shows a continuing decline in production. Not much there to be positive about, although there are the usual optimistic statements. I have taken the monthly published figures and produced the following curve from them, which tends to confirm that this is unlikely to go anywhere until they start producing more oil. The exploration hopes are all we really have now. Amerisur.png1754x1240 91.7 KB
Addition of acreage at low cost? Seems positive. As usual with AMER, the SP doesn’t exactly leap ahead. I guess that this is early stage potential value since only at initial discussions with local population about what can and cant do.
Monthly production numbers in 2018 I see the IC has included AMER is their latest Tip Update and have the following to say. Last month’s production from Colombian explorer-driller Amerisur Resources (AMER) was up 7.6 per cent on May, but that’s not necessarily saying much. Export volumes via the OBA export pipeline averaged 4,332 barrels per day (bpd), and it might have been more had the intervention at the Platanillo-22 well held at 650bpd for longer than it did. An operational update also included updates on the drilling programme: Pintadillo-1 is set to be spud this month, while the Indico-1 and Miraparriba-1 wells should spud this quarter, weather permitting. Our buy call is under review. Seems they might not like the figures too much, but we need to wait and see what their review yields.
Monthly production numbers in 2018 I think that the total numbers are of more importance for the AMER SP. You can see below that total production over that past year was virtually unchanged in May, but had a large increase in June, and also there was a slight increase month on month. The OBA export volumes, which have the main impact on the production costs, are also virtually unchanged. So any increase in profits from a year ago is down to the oil price, which has increased substantially since this time last year. Date Reported Month covered Total production Total export volume 12-Jun-17 May-17 148,544 132,258 08-Jun-18 May-18 149,030 128,169 0.3% -3.1% 05-Jul-17 Jun-17 137,267 125,386 05-Jul-18 Jun-18 154,064 128,689 12.2% 2.6% 08-Jun-18 May-18 149,030 128,169 05-Jul-18 Jun-18 154,064 128,689 3.4% 0.4% US Crude ($10).png800x600 41.5 KB
Monthly production numbers in 2018 Oil price going up, Amerisur production down 25% since Dec2017. We need the new wells to come online in H2. RNS The latest production and operational update RNS has now been released. Still not real improvement in the numbers, but this does not seem to have upset the markets this morning. [Click blue text to read the RNS]
Is there an overview post here anywhere? Can anyone point me to a previous discussion here that would give a good overview of the company? Yes, I’ve looked and researched (been watching since 20p on and off) but sometimes those that have been here for the long haul can give a good noiseless synopsis. Thanks jfp
Malcy Malcys Podcast - move to time 11:20 (near the end of the “L†in “Malcysâ€) to skip other Companies. Seems to be implying that the price decline is bottoming out. His comments do not really inspire strong confidence, but just about supportive.
Sweet dreams are made of this claude_reins: Where have all the discussion items gone since yours on June 12th They have not gone anywhere, since it would appear that nobody is posting on AMER here. However, just to change that, here are two charts showing the behaviour of the AMER SP and the PoO. Does not seem to be much correlation between the two!
