Re: Elections "then Colombia could turn into Venezuela"That would be some trick.I think it will still be Columbia in the morning.
Elections i suspect elections are holding back the share price. If Petro (leftist ex M19) wins then Colombia could turn into Venezuela. Regardless of drilling success, there is a risk this doesnt result in profits for shareholders. The Colombians i know are very concerned......
Re: Let us not get too excited! Steady on Elena. Much more of this cold steel like logic and you will develop the reputation for being a sage. Now that would be Jeckel and hide.😉
Re: Let us not get too excited! Hey.......steady on ES.......70 is the new 50........lol Something has got to happen, as the troops are getting restless...lol hopefully some of the monies will come back to the partisans.....? My prob is I'm in at 31p,and I don't want to buy any more than what I have now, as when you get to my age the banks don't wanna know, and I want to build a new grand design type of house, so I need my pennies.......Cheers Ben
Let us not get too excited! Sub 20p.Many of us thought that after 64p that 30p was a bargain, but down the AMER SP continued. We speculated about Rex Harbour, Columbian Witch Doctors and witheld information but in truth we were all clueless! When we went sub 15p it really started us wondering! And now its just 18.9pI won't get excited until AMER breaks out from the 64p range. But until then this is an opportunity. That man Trump has introduced sanctions against Iran so no Western Oil company wants to partner Iran in active fields so many will be shut down. This cut in world oil production will be popular from Texas to Vladivostok! This will push the SP here up.The Chump BoD will turn up at the AGM one year soon all smiles saying that they are considering an offer of 85p a share!Myself and MISOLD (if he is still alive) will pelt them with overripe tomatoes! You will all be invited to join in.A ravenous beauty will attach flowers to the targets so no innocents will be hit.The truth is that a solid history of production coupled with low overheads and fully funded drilling operations is the reason for the success.Don't get excited at 20p please!
Re: Gold rush-- The shares are cheap, people are beginning to see it.ws
Re: Gold rush-- Traded 15 mil shares, 10% up, it must carry on in the same direction next week
the 'noise' of happy barks... is the type of noise I love to hear..Here's to the next week being as 'noisy' as yesterday and today !Pinnacle Peak Protein formula feed is clearly the way to go here.. and hopefully break though 20p next week off the back...
Re: Gold rush-- 1048KB, this is third consecutive day SP is rising, not just, today's penny rise, as you put it, I think you have a small grudge about AMER, it's not too late to jump on the wagon
Re: Gold rush-- Rogadargetting emotional over companies or share prices is not something I do, so no I am not "disappointed".I generally comment when companies put out news releases, so random increases like today's penny-rise are noise as far as I'm concerned.Your are welcome to see it as a gold rush for Amerisur shares, but I do not.
Gold rush-- It looks like gold rush has started, another 5.66% up, 1048KB must be disappointed
Re: It's time I reckon we shall see the shire price rising nicely overthe coming months. My guess is that the opportunityto buy the shares still below 20p is of short duration. The fundamentals are excellent here, the cost of production & transport are very low thanks to the pipeline built, new discoveries are likely this year, and the price of oil is excellent compared with lastyear, not to mention the year before.Cheers,ws
It's time The time has come that this share gets properly rerated. It will be a fight back to 30p. But its going to do it.
Re: Parex Fully answered I would say.The management before the last downturn were considered insightful and top draw. The whinging has been with the downturn in the price of oil.Increase in reserves will sort the share price out.M
Parex What did I intend achieving?Giving you a taste of your own medicine. So its just fine for you to abuse the BOD with exaggerated expressions such as "bass-ackwards", but you get all upset when someone categorizes your own failure to understand the achievement of the OBA as "stupid".As far as Parex and Amer are concerned, it is always so much harder for a bigger market cap to multibag and so it is perfectly possible that over the next period, that Amer will make the better % gain and they do have the acreage and opportunities. What makes the case for Amer so much stronger is that with a market cap only a tithe of Parex, they have such an ambitious drilling program and fully funded, as well as debt free. As for suggesting that JW "doesn't understand the business", you could not be more wrong. This business is akin to a building business, where it is the land bank that determines future profitability. In the downturn, through his in country connections and experience, JW has built up a significant acreage of contiguous blocks and developed an understanding of the whole with basin wide interpretation. Now let us see if in the next step, the drill bit can turn the opportunity created, into reserves and we do have multiple chances to look forward to in the coming months.
