Re: Interesting new JV With the rig being prepared to be delivered rather than for delivery I would not be surprised to see a pre -close statement and perhaps confirmation that delivery has taken place. Don't really need it to be carried into the new year. There is a large investment in the yard and it will be interesting to see if AMED want to be part of the jv going forward or want to sell their interest. The other possibility could be for AMED to be used as a vehicle for a larger business in the region or to buy a major resource company. All very interesting and I agree that the major investors will probably be thinking about the way forward.

Re: Interesting new JV Yes I fully agree with regard to our 49% interest in MGR Resources, given their ability to broker deals, our GKC investment and rising commodity prices. As it is also not time consuming for our BOD, it leaves them to concentrate on those big ticket rig deals. This is why Qatar Investment Corporation have a 61% shareholding in Amedeo Resources, purchased at 50p a share. They will be looking for a multiple return on their investment. In due course, I would expect our BOD to take up their GKC option, to invest a further $2m for an additional 5% interest. More information with regard to this investment should be made over the coming months. As you quite rightly say, "the potential from the current mc of £4m is massive once investors think it through."I am very happy to be positioned now, ready for the huge re rating.

Re: Interesting new JV Of course the rig market is important to AMED and it will be interesting to see what develops after the sale as far as the jv and its cash is concerned. However my focus going forward is MGR and the 49pc interest we have in it. This is a relatively low cost investment but is massively highly geared with increased brokering not costing much more in overhead costs and IMO can probably earn enough to justify a share price of 20p or about £6.5m. The interest in the copper mines can also attract more income for MGR. The potential from the current mc of £4m is massive once investors think it through.

Re: Interesting new JV On the contrary, the right market conditions are essential for AMED and other players to secure new orders. I share your frustration in the time it is taking for our client to obtain finance and employment of Explorer-1, but that is reflective of that fact.I will continue to watch rig scrappage and employment, as well as monitoring the oil price forecast, Dry Bulk Index and geo political events.AMED are well positioned to take advantage of a more buoyant sector. However, whilst the current situation is frustrating, we have to understand that confidentiality prevents the publishing of certain detail.Consolidation in the sector will continue and the likes of Keppel and our JV partner Yangzijiang, will emerge even bigger players. One look at the Yangzijiang order book highlights that. What we need now is for new orders to come to our yard.I will continue to be patient and accumulate the dips.

Re: Interesting new JV The New JV is only interesting if Amed can secure orders for New Rigs, that can be built at it's ship yard, we all know that the one they have built is still awaiting delivery a year after it was finished. My concern is not what other companies are doing or building , but work what Amed can secure for the future.

Interesting new JV The rig market is now far more buoyant, something highlighted by the 50:50 JV (ARO Drilling) between offshore driller Rowan and Saudi Aramco. A real commitment to growth. I particularly like the concluding two sentences:-"Rowan and Saudi Aramco have agreed that ARO Drilling will purchase twenty future newbuild rigs that will be constructed by a Saudi Aramco manufacturing joint venture and are expected to be delivered between 2021 and 2030. Each newbuild is expected to have a sixteen year drilling commitment upon delivery to ARO Drilling."[link] is the time to be announcing the financing and employment of our Explorer 1 jackup rig and maybe follow it with further orders.

Re: Interesting Yes could be seeing a further push up next week ahead of rig news. Investors will need to be in before news breaks.

Re: Copper As they say "it's ticking all the right boxes" No dilutionNo debtCash in the bankSolid investmentsAnd only 32 Million shares. A Bargain

BOWOOD 13 Oct 2017

Re: Copper I think if you look at the copper price graph you will see it is testing new highs. Key is the cost of production and the benefit operational gearing brings. AMED stock is tightly held by informed investors and I would not be suprised if they invest further into metals and metal brokering. Perhaps when the jv gets the cash in from the sale of the rig it will invest further into the yard. It may of course that AMED will sell its share. Whatever even with a share price of 20p the mc of AMED is only £6.5m - fantastic value against the assets and earnings potential. I topped up a bit yesterday and will have some more today or Monday.

Re: Copper Oh yes, it is a definite Buy, up to 13p today, and could be hovering around the 20p mark within the next few weeks,Starting to get exiting, topped up two weeks ago, and hope to top up again before it gets to high,Once they start getting cash in, I'm wondering what their next investment will be, I have a holding in Metal Tiger (MTR) who also has investments in Copper mines, so it seems Copper is the metal to be invested in for the future.I'll be watching Amed closely for future developments.

BOWOOD 12 Oct 2017

Re: Copper The mines are producing and MGR are being engaged to broker this production not only into China but the wider Asian market - all this and they are brokering other metals into the area. I feel that MGR has the capability of producing income to justify an AMED share price of 10p - MC of £3.3m with the value of the rig in for nothing. A definite buy IMO

Re: Copper Calm down BOWOOD, the price of Copper may be on the rise, but it still needs to be mined cleaned and readied for sale, but saying that, when we reach that level it may have gone up another 20%, All in our favour at the moment.Fingers crossed

BOWOOD 11 Oct 2017

Copper Copper price still on the rise which is good for MGR and also fort the the copper mines. The sale of the rig will be a bonus
