Re: MGR I'm sure MGR will be on the move now. AMED would not have advanced more cash if they thought it would not be of assistance to scale the MRG operation. A useful return on the advance but more importantly we should see profits from MRG where a growth in sales will wash over fixed costs very quickly.
Re: MGR Well lets hope MGR pushes the clock back a couple of years and starts making money again, plus the 10% interest is a lot better than Amedeo would earn by having the money sitting in the bank, plus if the rig can be sold in the next few months, it will give, or should give the shares a well deserved boost.
MGR Good - now this is very good news. A few years ago MRG was making good money and being highly operational geared any increase in broking will have a very positive effect on the bottom line.
Re: RNS Agree, but I don't think it's just about the rig. The yard made a profit in the first half and with the resourse sector set to improve maybe MRG can turn round. It is highly operationally geared and should perform well on any upturn. Also there is substantial cash (about 12p a share) that could be used for further investment and no doubt substantial other cash resourses that could be made available. 2017 could well see AMED one of the star performers.GL and a HNYB
Re: RNS Maybe the profit taking is over, and it will start to climb again, let hope 2017 will be a good year for Amedeo, with the rig sale and a new order or two.Fingers crossed
Re: RNS Not what I had expected but the fundementals have not changed. There is cash in the bank and a strong and well respected management. The investment in the yard wil come right and we will then see the potential of AMED. The region of operation is one of the more dynamic places in the world so I have no problem in adding to my holding at the 25p level.
Re: RNS With the high cost involved building the rig, did the buyer not put a deposit down before the rig was built, as I can't imagine Amedeo and it's JV partner funding the whole project, if no deposit was paid, then the builders acted rather foolishly if there was no money up front.I just hope the rig is sold, and new orders are placed early next year before the whole project goes down the drain.
RNS You would have thought that the buyer would have sorted the finance out well before completion so one has to ask were they ever serious about the order they placed. AMED back a bit but attractive as the sale will at some point go ahead.
What a disappointing update. Thought they didn't get a mention in the LEG update was odd. If they are to sell to a new party surely it will be for (a fair bit) cheaper??
Re: Looking Good Yes you are right of course and we must remember that the quality of the management is good and above all is well connected. The region is booming and the oil price is on the increase. I also beleive that AMED will diverse their interests further once the sale of the rig completes and funds flow into the JV with substantial dividends going to AMED. Still a buy or top up as far as I am concerned.
Re: Looking Good Thanks Bowood... been looking round the web, and Yangziliang Ship builders are saying, they want to build the best ships in the world, well if the quality of the Le Tourneau rig is as good as they say, then new orders must surely follow, whether it is for ships or rigs.As you so rightly said, 80% of the shares are owned by four investors, leaving around 6 million for private Investors, and with good news expected soon, the MM's will have to push up the price to encourage the private investors to sell. but then the likes of me and you have no intention on selling, as do with others. With plenty of cheap steel available, the yard can build ships and rigs a lot cheaper, and to a higher quality than other shipyards around the world. The reality is, any new orders could push the price to over £1 and beyond,
Re: Looking Good If you Google Amedeo and scroll down to ............Charts Trade History, you should find the LSE site.GL
Re: Looking Good Sorry Bowood...what are we suppose to be looking at on the LSE that isn't on the III site,or am i missing something,We are suppose to be hearing news of the Rig Sale this month, but as of yet, all is quiet, expecting a RSN any day now, well hopefully.
Looking Good Take a look on LSE
Re: Above the ask Could be but I rather feel it has more to do with the more recent announcement that the rig that has been completed will be delivered and paid for by the end of December. The Interims suggested the yard was now in profit undertaking other works. We can expect a substantial inflow of funds when the sale completes and a decision of what to do with them.
