Re: Copper Nice bounce today, yet no news, but as I have said in the past, it only needs a modest Buy, with only a few shares, to push the price up.Maybe, just maybe, we may get some news on the rig before it starts going rusty.Still holding and hoping.
Re: Copper A bit suprised to see 250 go through well after time.
Re: Copper I would imagine the drop today was due to the rocket fired by North Korea, and uncertainty in the area, Trouble is with so few shares in issue, it takes even a small sell to send the price down,We are into Sept this week, and still no news on the Rig, which seems a little concerning, but saying that, it's been built and it will still be classed as an asset till sold.
Re: Copper I see there is new highs for copper which must be good for AMEDs mine investment and MGR broking the metal.
Copper The rapid increase in copper still to be recognised in the sp
Re: Copper Their investment in the the joint venture was large and this investment will be realised at some stage and it will be interesting to see what the JV decides to do the, or if AMED wants to sell its share. The 49% interest in MGR could be a real earner as it is so highly operationally geared and the increase in lending to it was clearly needed to fund the growth of MGR in the region. With the half year figures due in September it will be interesting to see how things are developing. A few buyers today I note.
Re: Copper I recall last year the rig purchasers paid for modifications to the rig, think it was around £750k, so why pay for that if they never had money available to purchase the rig, There is also the money Amedeo has paid out to build the rig, which could be around £10 million plus, As you so rightly say BOWOOD, when the rig is finally sold we should see a massive rerating in the share pric
Copper The continued increase in the price of copper into China must help MGR as well as the recent investment into the copper mines. AMED can only benefit and with MGR being highly operationaly geard the bottom line could really see a substantial lift. Then there is the potential rig sale which cannot be far off.
Re: Assets I rather wonder if the next big move/investment will be done once the rig sale is complete. On sale the monies will be with the investee company and it will be interesting to see what will then be done with it and if AMED want to sell their holding. The metal broking business looks to be doing much better and and could be further enhanced with the copper mine investment adding further revenues to it. When news of the rig sale is out I feel we could see a massive re rate in the SP as the free float is very small,
Re: Assets Hi BOWOOD, yes your right, and remember they still have the £800,000 loan on top of their present assets,May be they will hang on to the shipyard as they seem to be getting other work there to keep it ticking over.Plus their stake in the Copper Mine cold or should start making money in the future, if it does well then they still have the option to buy another 5%,So at least they haven't got all their eggs in one basket,
Assets M Cap about £5.5m with cash and near cash of 4m dollars at the year end. Investment in the yard about 14m dollars and probably worth a lot more on sale as the AMED share of the losses have reduced the original investment which should be more than recovered on the rig disposal.so lots of cash to be returned if the share in the yard is sold once the sale completes. A fair bit undervalued IMO.
Re: Izzy About right. The positive remains the substantial asset value relative to the sp and further added value when the rig is sold. Once this is done I would not be too suprised if the investment in the yard is sold to its partner with cash invested elsewhere. There will be substantial funds available for something that could provide benefits sooner. A major acqusition in the region could also be on. Still happy to hold as I see substantial upside post rig and MGR progress.
Re: Izzy Hi, the news reported nothing special, still no new on the Rig, just informing us about things we already know, would have been nice to hear something positive about their other investments, but sadly nothing.Just needed something to give investors a bit of confidence.Well that's my opinion
Re: Izzy AMED meeting today - I'm not going but do you think we can expect any helpful news?
Re: Izzy I suppose we will just have to sit it out, knowing my luck, if I sold out today they would sell or Lease the rig tomorrow and the shares would fly, the good thing is there is very little dilution, and they have cash in the bank, so in my books it's one to hold long term, and I like the fact there are only 32 million shares.Did you look at N4P, up over 10% since I last mentioned them, and with the patent for Viagra in the bag, a reformulation of the ED drug will see the price rocket, plus they have a bundle of other patents to work with, I got in early so sitting on a 200% plus profit, All I need now is some good news from Amedeo to make 2017 thus far, a very good year.Good luck
