Re: free advice agreed or they should at a minimum list PRU shares on the LSE.which is why ill be voting against the deal
Re: info on the deal 500k ounces .. of course !!
Re: info on the deal I agree it's a good deal and will be approving ... expectations are too high from retail investors expecting an overnight ten bagger.Gold has had a good month or so but has had years of falling prices so we are not in the frenzy stage or anywhere near it just yet. And when it comes we will be holding a low cost 500 ounces per year miner with a world class reserve.
free advice I have circa 50k shares at a circa 15p average, so i'm creeping closer to my break even having held all the way down from 80p, ouch. Trying to keep up with what the news with PRU means and struggling somewhat. If the deal values AMA at 16.3p per share then that's a good thing right and we should expect to see the SP reach this level soon? However a proportion of my 50k shares will convert to PRU shares listed on ASX which with my iii.co.uk account means i'll need to figure a way out of accessing?I for one was hoping AMA would remain as was and as gold price improves (in my opinion) we would see significant upside in our SP.Many thanks for any advice

Re: Amara valued at ... cheers ... what a misprint !
Re: Amara valued at ... 16.4p
Amara valued at ... quick question .. the London Evening Standard had a mention last night where they confirmed the merger and that the terms from Pru valued Amara at 64p.If so shouldn't we be moving a lot higher ?
Perseus and international trading Having studied their website and opinions in Oz, Perseus seem the ideal company to take our project forward and enhance my investment which is a currently valued far below my purchase price . I went through this with another company a few years back, and Barclays simply opened a free int'l trader account for me, which seems cheap and easy to operate. Hopefully however Perseus will take over our Lse listing as I'm not sure where I would stand as my holding is in a Sipp.
Re: Reject this Merger "how can you sell though they are not traded in the UK? "If your nominee account holder does not trade on ASX or TSX then you will need to open an account with someone who does and transfer the shares to them.I had to do this a couple of years ago when Medusa (MML) delisted from the LSE and moved to ASX. Halifax/BOS did not trade on ASX so opened an account with TDD. Not the cheapest to trade at £12.50, but you do get electronic voting.Be warned, the transfer can take months to complete.
Re: Reject this Merger That was the point I was trying to make
Re: Reject this Merger how can yoy sell though they are not traded in the UK
Re: Reject this Merger I think this is right but anyone please feel free to correct me. 1 - For every 3 AMA Shares you own you will get around 2 Perseus shares (1 AMA share = 0.68 Perseus share). 2 - For every 3 AMA shares you own you will get a warrant which is a 3 year option to buy a further Perseus share at a premium of 25 - 30% above the current share price. The trouble is they Perseus isn't listed on the LSE, so if you are like me and trade though an LSE focused nominee account then you may not be able to sell them or take up the warrants.
