Share Price rise today 13.34% A 10% rise today - against the rest of the market … anyone got a clue why?
Re: Share Price rise today 13.34% Take over other than a buyout by controlling Malaysian group highly unlikely as the company has fairly complex arrangements with its parent majority investors & I also feel the latter buyout improbable at the moment.
Re: Share Price rise today 13.34% Still needs to go a long way to get to the £1.28 per share I paid in 1997, or even the 29p I paid in 2013.Anyone know who a potential bidder might be? Let's hope that there is more than one bidder.
Re: Share Price rise today 13.34% Chatter on lse. Co. Uk that takeover could be around. They dont go up like this for no reason though!
Share Price rise today 13.34% Why the good share price lift today? Is there a news like takeover?
Re: Recovery?? "Anyone still think this stock is going to recover?"YesBrand has very good potential in Asian marketIs this view simply naive?
Re: Recovery?? Well, that's the million dollar question (which, for obvious reasons, I feel qualified to answer). I'm expecting the SP to recover slightly if/when they re-commence paying dividends. Even a 0.25p divi would give a yield of 6% at the current SP, & they are still making enough profit to pay a small divi, but I can understand why they've chosen not to do so at present. They've clearly bitten off more than they can chew with this Singapore venture - it was clear at the time that it could've gone either way, but it hasn't paid off, mainly due to poor timing as much as anything. It still could come good, as the Far East is clearly a potentially massive market for their products, & it seems the only area where the company can grow revenue - the UK is done, I believe - any company still relying on the High Street for significant income are kidding themselves if they think there's any future in it. Anyway, at the present SP I think they're worth a punt, but I can't see the SP recovering to anywhere near former levels for years to come, or ever, for that matter.
Recovery?? Anyone still think this stock is going to recover?

Re: Back in Why? What's happened?
Re: Back in Good start. I'm up about 7% on day one. Not bad. Press onto 14p near term then 20p in a couple of years.
Re: Back in Nice to see the increase. I too held these when they were 11p years ago 2009 ish. Went back in last year at 23p but grabbed 5014 more at 9.93p. Way oversold imho. Averaging 18p now. Hope the divi is held at least 1p a year. Fingers crossed it tracks back up.
Looks good here for a recovery Nice move up today. These shares work in phases aswell so we could have weeks of an upward trend now
Back in Held these a number of years ago and done ok. Back in now with a view to doubling my money. Only been watching them for about 6 years since selling up the last time.
