Re: Timing You were right on thinking dodge and I can imagine some people with inside information have bought leading up to the rise and now sold for a quick buck so to speak as there was a significant shift this week with no reasoning Fortunately the word some was mentioned and not all in my comments so can't be too disheartened 
I just wonder if that was the first indicative offer and hopefully now there is an indication it is open for business others might come in and have a look as we open our books so to speak I know nooothing

For some, ages can be more that a few minutes, while for others it's a lifetime. Each has to decide what trading plan suits them, ranging from day trades to buy and hold, and what targets to set. Once decided, and if it works, stick to it.I guess that many of us here will have expressed the same sentiment to friends "do the opposite to what I do". I know I have, often.I note that the SP is currently back to the year high region seen at the end of April. Re: Anyone know what's happening here? Possibly speculation of a first dividend being announced on the 9th November. A payment in 2017 was the prospectus target.Next month there is the faint possibility of a rate rise, which should give ALD a boost.Callun
