Re: Keysight Technologies Acquisition Why sell? You have no dealing charges etc if you wait for the takeover and there is always a chance of a counter bid. I'm sure 1.5p won't cover you're costs.
Re: Keysight Technologies Acquisition Got back into these 6 weeks ago (3K) with a price target of 125p but did not expect a take-over! I realised 127.5p per share. If there is a counter bid then I shall miss out but I'm happy with a quick 1k profit.
NEW ARTICLE: Anite accepts American bid "LSE:AIE:Anite had already risen as much as 27% following last month's bullish fourth-quarter trading update. Now, $5.5 billion American tech giant NYSE:KEYS:Keysight Technologies has offered £388 million, or 126p a share, for the UK supplier of ..."[link]
Keysight Technologies Acquisition Price is currently above agreed offer price of 126p, presumably some hope of a counter offer. Given that completion is slated for October, I say cash out now!Well done all you Anite stalwarts.
IC Simon Thompson From IC E-mail bulletin:"In Simon Thompsons column today, he initiates coverage on a leading supplier of test and measurement systems that is set to release a bumper set of results in five weeks time. However, the good news is not yet in the price as the shares are still only rated on a cash-adjusted PE ratio of 12, a massive discount to peers, and 2.5 points below the average rating over the past five years. For good measure, the share price looks poised to break-out of its tight trading range.""I have been keeping a close eye on the progress of FTSE Small Cap constituent Anite (AIE:91p), a leading supplier of test and measurement systems to the global wireless market. Its products are used to test whether mobile phones are working correctly before launch and that an operator's mobile networks are running efficiently....."(Rest is paid subscriber only content).

Re: Price Fall I held this share in that past and made a small profit. Still looking at this whether it has growth potential I am looking for in this share.
NEW ARTICLE: Anite still "undeniably cheap" "Greek fears may have sent global stockmarkets plunging Tuesday, but LSE:AIE:Anite is bucking the trend after it said full-year results will match expectations. Anite, which supplies test and measurement software to mobile phone and network ..."[link]
Price Fall Can anyone explain why the price on this share continues to fall. They seem to be going no where. I was under the impression that with the amount off mobile phones being manufactured now that this share that is with a company that is doing testing the phones would be shooting up in value. They seem to dragging there heels over the last two years, time for someone else to take over and change the prospects around.
Re: I'm Back Any ideas why the price is doing absolutely nothing?Puzzled.
Re: I'm Back well if you got in at the low 80p`s then you may have timed it to perfection. Its at a pivotal point on the chart so anything could happen next. The last update was quite optimistic so would expect the rising trend to continue.Watching closely Tues for direction and would pay to have a stop in play...just in case!
I'm Back Back in at pretty much my exit price, had been selling my portfolio over the past few years and was left with FTO as my final holding. As some of you may be aware the majority shareholder in FTO acquired the minority shareholding on the cheap, although I still came out with a circa 40% profit albeit reduced by 21 years of inflation. I had intended leaving the money in my retirement fund but with little interest I looked at my previous investments for a better return ( not prepared to research new investments) so AIE looked good so here I am.
News Todays RNS seems to me to be entirely positive with the potential to significantly enhance the companies offer. Cannot understand the markets current reaction as they seem to have purchased at a decent price, particularly given Sterling's current strength against Euro, and that purchase will be earnings enhancing pretty much straight away. Seems a win-win to me.Maybe it will take a short while for the market to wake up to the news and establish the potential benefits.GLTAdkok
NEW ARTICLE: Stockwatch: A share highly geared to upturn "Have small cap cyclicals been overly punished? This area of the market has seen sharp falls as deflationary fears prompted de-risking. Re: Large Volume of Trades Hi butler0I know that we go ex divi tomorrow, but 9.6M shares is 3.3% of the shares in issue that were traded in 4 trades over the space of a minute at a price below anything that the share has actually been at for a month, and as soon as the trades went through the share price jumped by 2p? Just can't work out what was going on, whether it was a buy order which has been tacking place over the last month or six weeks and which has just been registered so that they get in for the Ex Divi deadline tomorrow, which I hope it is, or whether it has been a long unwind of a position.Either way, I believe we should get some kind of RNS in the next couple of days because of the overall value of the trades in terms of the percentage of shares in issue.GLTAdkok
