Buy?? I would like a little advice on AGR I have been keeping an eye on s p for a while and looks to be creeping up nicely The company looks in a strong position going forward Does anybody out there think it's time to get on board?
Glad I backed management! When i bought in August 2013 at 35p, I said it was time to back the management. They have taken many lively steps since then, but have barely set a foot wrong it seems. I was particularly happy that fundraising brought the loan to value ratio down somewhat and the NAV remains within sight of the share price. It would be rather unrealistic to expect another 45% rise in SP for the next 16 months, but I shall be quite content with the solid dividends. The likely support of institutional investors (now the market cap is so much larger) should provide ballast if 2015 proves a difficult year.Happy xmas to all.PB
RNS Does anyone have any previous experience of these things? In your experience will the share price be maintained or is there a risk we transfer over to shares with a lower SP?
Re: Results + thought Not sure that Labour want acutes to own more out of hospital services - Simon Stevens (new head of NHS England) has described two models in "The NHS Five Year Forward View" - (1) "One new option will permit groups of GPs to combine with nurses, other community health services, hospital specialists and perhaps mental health and social care to create integrated out-of-hospital care the Multispecialty Community Provider" and (2) "Primary and Acute Care Systems - integrated hospital and primary care provider combining for the first time general practice and hospital services, similar to the Accountable Care Organisations now developing in other countries" - see [link] Both need high quality new facilities like those developed by Assura. The real question, as always, is whether the NHS is serious about simplifying the approvals process for new premises projects. This is tortuous and slows down all plans for new schemes (which is probably what the Treasury wants as it means that the cash doesn't actually get spent).

Re: Results + thought I think you're right that this broad shift helps AGR but not sure if the change in customer (Labour want acutes to own more out-of-hospital services) might have an effect.
Re: Results + thought No. The move is to out of hospital care so this benefits the primary care space particularly the larger Primary Health Properties PHP.L
Results + thought Good interims today; Assura continues its steady growth and increase in dividend payout. Hopefully NAV per share will increase to around 50p if not higher by end of 2015.I am interested to better understand to Assura should the Labour Party win power next May. Labour are proposing more salaried GPs, with hospitals potentially taking over GP centres. I am sure Assura will still be commissioned but their customers could be different and they might potentially be in competition with other companies more used to constructing and maintaining hospitals?
