Re: Some people are in the know ? Research posters that are being presented next week in the USA that endorse Parsortix?
Some people are in the know ? How can this share move 8% in a day with no published news ? Employees who are getting some good vibes ?
Re: A new gold standard test for prostat... All we now is FDA and this will be £1 plus
Re: A new gold standard test for prostate ca... I think it's great news. Replacing solid biopsies with a better test would be amazing. I suspect the number of biopsies is closer to 4x the number of cases as 3/4 are indolent. I had two uncles die of an aggressive form of this disease and was myself diagnosed with an aggressive form after a PSA test. I think this may be due to the BRCA1 gene. Both my mother and grandmother had breast cancer. They're researching that link at the moment. But if your mother had breast cncer and your male get a PSA test every three years. It's not a very good test and GPs are reluctant to hand it out wholesale but the previous assumption that prostate cancer came down the male line only, is in doubt.
A new gold standard test for prostate cancer? Very impressive research results "Barts patient data suggests that the Parsortix system may be used both to detect prostate cancer and to assess its aggressiveness, all through a simple blood test." This is excellent news - I've got skin in this game on two counts - my father died from Prostate which was miss-diagnosed. The current PSA test has poor accuracy and can often lead to unnecessary operations or worse. Parsortix results were 100% detection - which is astonishing. From an investment viewpoint prostate cancer is big probem 4th most common cancer in men, with 47,300 being diagnosed in the UK in 2013, 1.1m worldwide in 2012. However, you can probably put a 10x these numbers from a test viewpoint. It is to be hoped that the need for a better test will encourage a faster time-to-market for what on this evidence should become the new gold standard for detection of prostate cancer.Regards, Maddox
Re: 10% up Could this be the FDA approval or more significant trial results. ??? Fingers crossed
10% up Well somone knows something !?
Re: Great RNS! Other good news ?
Re: Great RNS! We won't get timescales updates on FDA, we know there isn't much left to do, but they've learned their mistake from giving a timescale on something that is out if their control. If the timescale is wrong through no fault of their own then they will still have disgruntled shareholders. We know that they wanted FDA approval for ovarian within the next year, so I would expect Breast cancer approval before the end of the year, possibly within a few months. But really it could be any day. But you are right, when we get it we will fly. But there is lots of other potential good news due anytime now, so I'm not too bothered which comes first.
Re: Great RNS! Agree but this RNS has not moved the price much. FDA is the 'biggy' so an update on likely timescales would be welcome. Disappointing to still be below the rights issue price given the scaling down.
Great RNS! Wow , another patent! Certainly moving in the right direction now Well , the big catalyst here (and always been) is the darn FDA Approval in US!Once we have this ,we going to see multiples of this SP and I reckon even some buyout by large pharmas is possibleGLAIT
Re: Will we ........ More people seem to use lse.co.uk and advfn
Re: Will we ........ Where has everyone gone - including the company PR team/individual. Over £1 10 months ago, steady decline to 55 then today up 20% all without a murmur !!! The silence is deafening.
Re: Will we ........ Another 2 weeks without any news. With an ex divi date of 30 April presumably there should be some accounts and progress news within the next 3 weeks (Lloyds ex divi sate early April and RNS today)
Will we ........ ........ see this with an upward trend again, I'm not so sure. Some good news from the Directors would do no harm !
