Lets hear it from Hamish again www.talent4boards.com/afriag-names-hamish-harris-chairman-board-directors/AfriAg names Hamish Harris as Chairman of the Board of DirectorsDecember 21, 2015 Talent4Boards Team Comments are Off Board - Europe, Board Listed/Public Companies UK, London AfriAg Plc (AIM: AFR / ISDX: AFRI), the London listed agricultural value chain investing company, today announces that David Lenigas has retired as Chairman of the Company with immediate effect and that Hamish Harris has been appointed to replace him as Chairman.Hamish Harris, AfriAgs Chairman, commented: I look forward to leading AfriAg as an investing company focused on agricultural logistics within Africa and from Africa to the world, and making it a commercial success for its shareholders. The Company has benefited greatly from David Lenigas leadership, seeing its investments in the African agricultural and agri-logistics space grow steadily over the past few years. The board thanks David for his valuable contribution over the past years and wishes him well with his new business focus.
Value I think we have been somewhat distracted by comments over the past week or so when in reality nothing has changed for Afriag apart from Leni going. Don't forget he has a near 9% stake bought between 0.35 and 0.45 and even he will not want to lose money. The second half of the year to December is reported to be going well as the business gains more traction.I feel the market has pushed the SP too far down and we will see a substantial recovery ahead of the trading update in January.
flippin heck, not for the faint hearted From my post last month I asked the question>Could it be possible that ALL things Lonrho are going to be transferred/repackaged/rebranded from the Lonrho brand into AfriAG brand?Lonrho perhaps no longer the acceptable face of a new era post apartheid, A reminder of old loyalties and colonialismWith this in mind, Afriag SA, pan African, could not be more than 49% owned by any other entity that is not pan AfricanSo, what we have now could be a simply rebranding of such things and a strategy to gather things under the new umbrellaWe cant blame TW for any of this, we did ask the questions that we couldnt find answers to. If the outcome is not good then we do need to know soonestHopefully that is not the case and the BODs will get back to us with good newsIts a bum though, LTH would want to buy in at this price but it is too risky. New investors would be mad to buy inDL did say we were nearing critical mass. Isnt that the stage where big investment can come inMaybe TW could take a look at Red Emperor and check out their subsidiary (presuming they only have the one)Would be good if he got in there and nosied around, stopped the rot if there is any. Could save others losing money
I dont think we are surprised so know we know what it was all about, lots of selling in the last couple of weeksIts true, some Afriag shareholders have made money
no further forward then Apart from a few articles telling us not much we didnt know already. A smattering of faux indignation from a CEO of Afriag plc, and an offering of nudge nudge can we be friends from YK, we still dont actually know anythingSo that was all much ado about nothingAny chance of any regulatory news guys?Party games are just not doing it
You couldnt make this stuff up Just sell some cabbages will ya Afriag marketing, and lets get some profitsAgent Delilah007, says the comments at the end of articlewww.news24.com/SouthAfrica/News/Spy-love-gets-ugly-20140831
Good to see the negative publicity We can get that out of the way early on, Nobody seemed to mind the ciggie stuff too much so we have started to get onto the political stuff now. The SAPs and SARs stuff is really old hat, and a bit boring. That many tobacco companies bashing each other. There was the original scorned woman story. She had an affair with him, then they fell out and she bubbled him, accused goodness knows who of stirring it all up, then changed her mind, then said she hadnt changed her mind. In between that there were the allegations of corrupt SAPs and corrupt SARs and counter spies. Nobobdy could believe anything in the endNot to mention the the ferretsDid make me smile again though (laugh a minute this stock) At one point in all this SAPs and SARs stuff, some of the evidence (computers and letters) went missing, Not sure if it was the good guys or the bad guys that lost it, Anywaze, when they did the BBC Panorama special, some chap came out with huge bundles of emails, letters, the whole caboodle. If anybody lost anything, you ought to ask that chap for your computers backIm surprised we didnt get more of the political stuff in the beginning really I was hoping for senior British connections into the mix really, with all the farming and agriculture. Ah well, cant have everythingJust have to wait and see how it pans outStill dont think too much of the 'professional' interest. It got to the 'lets be friends' bit too quick. Thought there was loads more mileage in the 'lets pretend to fall out' angle. Cant have brought in enough flow trafficThey need a few taped conversations, add another layer, and dimension, to the interestBring back Doc I say, folk are more interested in what he had to sayGet him on tip TV, talking about Afriag only, it will be a sell out. Viewing will go through the roofStill, all publicityLoads of questions out there, need answers, In your own time Mr L. Maybe Mr YK will give it a bit of time since Mr PdR is a bit shyGet in there YK, we are needing a bit of backing hereIf folk were that worried, they would be posting a few more questions, not blubbering on twittera link with a couple more names, for investigations. There is an official report re this. Nothing was ever found to implicate the players of ATM and other allegations re PdR and Kajee were found to be moribundwww.news24.com/SouthAfrica/News/Sars-reports-false-defamatory-lawyer-20140811

Re: nice one Afriag They should offer to take Doc as well, he sounds like he could do with a holiday
nice one Afriag post courtesy of Slugworth on LSEsee also DL tweettwitter.com/DavidLenigas/with_replies(hee hee, had to alter, you're not allowed to say the naughty word shareprxphxt_Did anyone else see Yusuf Kajee's response to TW on the Shareprxphxts site? Here:YUSUF KAJEE15 December 2015, 04:54Good Sir Your article sounds much like a woman scorned .May I officially take this opportunity to invite you with an all expense paid trip to South Africa to view the various business operations. Assumptions is the mother of all mess ups .Please seize the opportunity so that you can add value to share portfolio of the people that believe in youRegards Yusuf [email protected] See more at: [link] funniest thing is that the entire article that TW wrote is based around a tweet by DL. Ridiculous. Did it not occur to him that anything AfriAg SA does is of benefit to Afri as we own 40%. I'm sure that was all he meant.
Middle to Lower LSM I didnt know what that meant, looked it up, Living Standard Measure. Own goal if they have leaked this as research. CK cigarettes marketed to the lower to middleIf that is their marketing, best leave them to it. No wonder they kept it quiet[link]

OMG is that a clue from Kenny on LSE? have we really bought a hotel in Margate SA?How many storeys does it have?It will need a better safety rail putting up on that roof garden, and perhaps some warning notices on the skylights, or maybe she could wear a full length wet t shirtGood move, they will shift some CK water (not to mention ciggies) with an outfit like thatHope AFri have an interest in an egg laying company, for the breakfasts
Beleagured Defition of beleagueredwww.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/beleagueredexperiencing difficulties, opposition or criticism surrounded by enemies Yep, I'd say that about covers itDoesnt matter what BBs have to say, discuss till the cows come home, plain fact is, the above applied hereUntil we get some transparency and are given credible information as to what monies are coming in to Plc, then the situation will stay the sameAll the articles I have read suggest that it would not be possible to have more than the 49% in the SA set up. So, how are making any moneyIf "people" can direct others to posters encouraging the shorts, then maybe they could direct us to someone who posts an idea of what can be done to lift the company credibility. Or does the PR pot not extend to that budget. Maybe thats next week, after the Dubai doI appreciate the professional traders have been banned from this board, surely there must be some geniune investors left, that are allowed to post hereSeems notIn August on this bb, I askeddoes Afriag operate as PFC Integration. PFC is a Robilard owned entity operating as fruit and veg logistics company operating over 5 African countriesIs Afriag re building that side of PdR family company perhaps. We know Afriag base is here, ie OR Tambo airport Also, I put up this link last August[link] age ago I put this link upwww.up.ac.za/en/news/post_2069149-south-africa-developing-a-booming-crocodile-economy
Re: Perspective Generally, I found from quick searches that smoking sits at around 3% below OBESITY. 2020 Obesity is predicted to rise Some social engineering going on. The pharmaceutical companies are making money by causing the epidemic and then more money by trying to cure the epidemicThey then sit back and say "What us, no its not us, its those nasty cigarettes companies"
