Re: Drop on today's news. I guess the potential has not change and at the current level they may be worth a buy. The company can still grow on the more junior market
Re: Drop on today's news. Leni does mislead though. In September the ID market was joined to improve liquidity; Now we are leaving AIM!
Drop on today's news. "Investors will be able to trade the shares without interruption" is a quote from the RNS, so what is the reason for the substantial fall?Is it, perhaps that the shares will no longer be eligible for ISAs etc?It would seem that as nothing else changes regarding the company (other than adjustments related to the AIM delist that we have a buying opportunity here,
further to the Panorama programme BBC This was a recent documentary expose done by the BBC. I posted a link to it a bit back but this is further stuff emanating from thatFrom memory it was saying that BAT were trying to smear competitors. Looks like the tables have been turned on them and they will now have to fight for their reputationCould be ending up in court themselves if a bribery case is brought. Really big fines given out if any British company is caught in bribery abroad Bribery Act 2010If nothing else we can see it is all politicalFrom what I have seen, the fraud involving KJ, I think it is down to tax evasion etc (yet to be proved and YK denies owing the money) Not good, but plenty of companies in court over the years, spats with the tax office, VAT etcYK retweeted an Islamic quote very recently, to do with knowing when not to bite back and stay silent. I really wish he would read it to himself againwww.nation.co.ke/news/politics/Karua-now-caught-up-in-Sh7m-BAT-bribery-storm/-/1064/3003322/-/view/printVersion/-/hlonsq/-/index.htmlKarua fights back as British paper names her in Sh7m BAT bribery stormThe Independent article is the latest to hit opposition political figures after the exposé on Mr Wetangula.Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua who on December 19, 2015 admitted having received a Sh2 million donation to her presidential campaign from an employee of British American Tobacco after a British newspaper sensationally accused her of pocketing a Sh7.5 million bribe to help advance the firms commercial interests. At no time did I ever discuss the award or influence of contracts/tenders whether at KRA or indeed within any other government entity with Paul or anyone else, Ms Karua said in response to questions by the Independent journalist David Connett. My recollection is that Pauls donation was about Sh2m. If any person within my campaign team or beyond purported to accept a donation in exchange for influence of government procurement (they were) acting beyond the scope of their authority, without my knowledge and in their individual capacity not for me or my campaign, she said. The former Justice Minister, however, denied that the donation was a bribe as
a bit from YK Aug 2014 For a bit of balance, dont know how this will end up but hoping its not as bad as its smeared to be. There really is a lot of muck being thrown about. From the looks of it there has been for some time. Some 'body' is clearly out to have KJ/PdR/Zuma and friendsIm sure they are not squeaky but what can you say, politics? SPY GAMES SA about 1/3 way down, gives a little from YK's perspectivefile:///C:/Users/Admin/Downloads/City-Press_2014-8-17_preview.pdfAlso a couple of links re YK./Zuma. First link relates to cigarette factory being shut down because some Chinese nationals were seen to be working. Somebody had to tip the authorities of in the first place!! Clearly somebody doesnt want this factory openI noted the name of O;Sullivan in some of the reports, investigatorFor many years UK business were going to different places using Business visas and sending staff with the installation of machinery. What should have happened was the staff that went to install should only have been supervising, not so much as pick up a hammer. In reality the lads get stuck inOver the last couple of years the use of business visas in various places has been tightened up, business visas only really being allowed for business meetings or if you could really prove supervision only etc. This link adds credence to the suggestion that there is a smear and campaign against ATM and doesnt suggest any huge wrongdoing. The last link, last paragraph is much of the same smear campaign. Last paragraph states that the guys arrested were released on a warning to use correct visa next timewww.iol.co.za/business/news/state-swoop-shuts-cigarette-factory-1.1578960www.enca.com/south-africa/zumas-son-targeted-sars-over-tobacco-tax-dispute
Yusuf Kajee Does anyone know if Mohammed Yusuf Kajee is the same person as the director of Afriag, a relative, or of no link at allI am thinking maybe not Afriag YK because the accounts of the link are signed MKajee, and he is the MDI was curious, seen a few items. This particular link is to do with Food Bank SA and various set ups around SAI appreciate this is a not for profit org, but it appears they would still be requiring transport./logistics and that has to be paid Sponsored by various companies and some depots dependent on funds being available, www.foodbanksa.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/FBSA-Signed-AFS-2013.pdf
Up Date Last year we had an update at the end of January. If AFRI is doing much better as indicated then the company will be keen to get any update out as early as possible. If new funds are needed for growth then they will want the sp back over 0.30. We must remember that Leni bought quite a chunk at 0.45p so there should be scope for further advance in th sp IMO.
Re: Questions Update expected soon. With the cost of fuel going down and the distribution business growing this high gearing should provide huge profits for the current year. Clearly undervalued IMO
Questions There will be a lot of questions that Afriag will have been advised, by their lawyers, not to answer I see someone has been invited to visit Afriag companies. For those on twitter, maybe they could put some questions that maybe could be answeredMaybe Afriag could give us some more detail via the website[link] twitterWell chuffed Been invited to visit #AFRI by @yusuf_i_kajee very excited
Richmond I suggested CK Water could possibly be Cape Karoo Water If that is the case then the following link could be the Richmond mentioned by YK[link]
What is this madness This is all too weirdIts all very well for a blogger doing everything they can to get to get traffic through their site for revenue and advertising, but what the heck is someone like Yusuf Kajee doing? Openly getting involved in spats on twitter, with anyone, never mind those that are bashing their company and its subsidiariesWhy doesnt he answer any questions. Maybe he feels he wont be believed or that the answers will be distortedIf he believes it is a smear campaign, why not get in touch with another journalist, one that the respective companies would give a less biased hearingAt the end of the day, this isnt about traffic to a certain site. It should be about a company that has come to shareholders to raise money, and should be reassuring shareholders. Playing ping pong on twitter wouldnt seem to be the right way to go about it. Certainly not throwing any reassurance our way at the minuteBrings me back to the thought that this is deliberate. You have to think this is really all about attention. But for who?Senior members of this company need to shut up on twitter if they dont have anything professional to add. You are company representatives, what are you doingSpend the time getting positive information out thereIt all very well for the likes of us to throw sticks and stones, but you dont expect it from those that have serious influence on the companyIt really does smack of company management fallings out and maybe serious holders having to sell down their holdings for one reason or another. Did they need the moneyNot a good look, and certainly worryingJust answer the questions and be done. They are only questions that others are askingIt is not true to say that information on Afriag SA is available, if it was, ordinairy shareholders would have found it. Some of us hunt down our information, it wasnt thereIf serious journalists are looking for it and it cant be found, there must be a reason. If that reason is maybe government or political contracts, we could understand that, but then we would expect the SP to be doing betterSerious businessmen should leave the satire to those that are good at it. If there is nothing to worry about, then just accept it as publicity. Leave the comments to us retail shareholders to poke atThis has all the makings of a good company. Afri have all the contacts and experience to make this goodWe need to have information, we need those answers otherwise we will be subject to the controversial bloggings, and rightly so. AIM has gone on for too long with companies being able to hide information from unsuspecting shareholders
