2 DAYS TO VOTING DEADLINE YOU MUST VOTE BY WEDNESDAY TO BE SURE YOUR VOTE IS COUNTED.This is the most important thing you can do.It is our opinion that the balance of risk and reward between the YES and the NO votes is in favour of the NO vote. The ASOG committee will all be voting NO. However that is a personal choice and should not to be taken as advice. As always please do your own research. To see the full text of our opinion download this file;[link] watch it in video on YouTube at; [link] you are not sure how to cast your vote, download this file;[link] can also watch "The ASOG Journey" video at; [link] - You should have voted by 15th July latest.
Re: Just voted NO. with iii El Barracco Hi Paitech, I dialled 0845 200 3637.... went through all the various options, security checks then spoke to a male (didn't get his name) Told Him I wanted to vote on the EGM, and he went and checked, came back and confirmed there was a resolution that I could vote on and asked which way I wanted to vote. I said 'NO' and he said they'd vote for me on that basis (or something like that) Nothing mentioned about holding shares on Aug the 1st. Wi

£30 charge to vote No! iDealing .com charge £30 to put in a proxy vote. Shares not worth much more than that so had to give it a miss.

Legal action update In our opinion, shareholders should consider voting No before Wednesday and please pick up the phone to your nominee holder to ensure that your vote is registered according to your wishes. Our opinion should not be taken as instruction and please seek your own independent advice if necessary.
Afren legal action update Other proposals are being considered which will confer greater shareholder value. You should not pay too much attention to the BOD's direction to shareholders which amounts to: 'My way or the highway'. Shareholders who are voting 'No' are not shooting in the dark in our opinion.
Re: I voted NO Equity worthless because Afren is bust. If Bondholders don't cough up the $350m what happens? Why do equity deserve anything? And why will Bonds go down if No vote? Bondholders get higher interest rate.
Re: I voted NO -Symore Bottoms I am with TD Direct - i phoned them and told them that an EGM is being held on the 24 July and i am voting No to all resolutions (he acknowledged my decision and votes). But there is definitely some funny-business going on as the TD could not see a corporate action. ALL SHAREHOLDERS - Best thing is to do is phone your broker and tell them about the upcoming EGM and what way you are voting. If there is apathy by not voting, then your votes will be counted as yes - so get voting people. Taking a 'United we Stand' approach could force them to offer us a better deal.

Re: I voted NO How did you work out equity was worthless? I think you are feeling the pressure because the deal is going to be voted down. What do you think the bonds will trade at when the restructuring plan is thrown by the shareholders? 20 per cent if your lucky I reckon..
