Re: Tern I understand that 30 to 32p is the nomads target and there are rumours that one WShak is 'rumoured' to be shorting them at the moment.....[link] it seems inordinately hard to borrow to short. I also note that IG will not allow one to short them....

Re: Stamp duty and commission musings I performed a similar exercise in the past and found it quite depressing! I am now more disciplined and buy with a view to holding for a while. The other killer is the spread, which is often quite large with AIM stocks.

Re: Tern Well, we had a bit of pullback and consolidation, then it returned to it's previous trajectory. Now looks to me as if it may be starting to show signs of peaking out.Any thoughts as to the likely maximum?

Re: Stamp duty and commission musings I should add, that none of this is revelatory as such. It is well documented in countless books etc. However, it isn't until you see it in black and white in your own accounts that it really sinks in.

Stamp duty and commission musings I've been doing some analysis of my trades today and since Christmas I have spent £2700 on commission and stamp duty. That is no small fry. And it can mean the difference between making a profit or a loss. Now HALF of that is stamp duty. Stamp duty can account for as much as 50% of the loss on a trade that I have decided to terminate early...I raise this issue, as I've no doubt it is eating into the profits of many others. Key points it raises:1) Obviously, reduce the trade frequency where possible.2) Perhaps less obviously and more insidious, it is well worth considering sticking mainly to the AIM market, to avoid stamp duty.

Re: AMC divergence I keep an eye on AMC too, as it's got potential and has decent moves up in the past.Agree it's looking a little more bullish than a month or so ago.Things that hold me back:1) The spread, daily range is pretty shocking.2) It is at resistance - admittedly the settling of price above the 50 for a few days is pretty bullish3) They have a history of getting bad funding deals that harm the share price. Q the next one.

AMC divergence I keep an eye on AMC for old times sake. There's some interesting bullish divergence being shown by the RSI since February with RSI making higher lows while price makes lower lows. Price is now at top of band and above the daily 50ema for first time since February.Could sentiment here be beginning to change?[link]

Re: TEF I’ve held this one for a while. Chosen initially because of their plans to build close to cross rail stations.
