Re: Distracted penhome Thank you to those who emailed me.Jez, although it's a bit late now, I agree with Maroon as a general rule - the less personal information in public the better.According to my reading of the transfer plans items in portfolios will be transferred - As I have both AFE and ACTA in my portfolio it is possible the forums may be transferred but, if I remember correctly, earlier information stated that defunct companies will not be included in the transfer to the new site. I also understand that there will be some new rules and structure applying to the creation of new forums - private or otherwise - which may make it difficult to carry on as before here. Hence my suggested preference for ADVFN.As we have no real idea how the new site will run or what will be included I shall wait until after the weekend to see what happens and if necessary create "The Drainpipe Club" during the course of the day.Once again I shall leave my email for those who may have missed it earlier. Should it prove necessary emailing me there may be the only simple way to obtain a link to the new chat [email protected]

Re: Distracted penhome Lady JaneWhen ACTA went into administration I investigated with iii how we could continue our discussions. The reply was either setting up a new private board or continue using the existing board. Poster chose the latter hence the ACTA board we all know and love.I might be worthwhile asking if it still possible to do this on the new iii. What do you think if you agree will you do that or do you want me to do it.Best wishes 23Jez

Re: Distracted penhome Yes, I've been wondering about this too.I'm certainly interested in continuing the discussions.LSE is pretty good too. Don't know if it's possible to start a group on there. There is one called "M" which can't ever have been a ticker, so presumably so.If not, ADVFN is ok, but I'm not a paying subscriber, and doubtless there are others in the same boat, so FREE would be better. Not fussed about the name.

Re: Distracted penhome ... will we keep these discussion boards??That is indeed a good question and one that has been on my mind for a while.I did offer to make a page on ADVFN if all fails and I am still willing to do so though it occurred to me that my recent post was to a Premium board (PBB) and not everyone will have access. Consequently I propose to create a less secure Free access board (FBB) and have a tentative name of "The Drainpipe Club", not linked to any company, in an attempt to avoid the unwanted attentions of "less savoury" posters..I will need to have some confirmation of peoples desire for it so ask anyone interested in participating to contact me [email protected] let me know Yes or NoFree or PremiumIf the proposed name is acceptable...

Distracted penhome Not been posting much due to lack of time.Due to changes in internet payment security protocols at the end of June in the way that websites handle payments, I’m having to produce a whole new website for my business.My current website software can’t be updated for the new protocols, so will go dark at the end of June and will be unable to process any payments. So I won’t be able to sell anything!!I’m therefore having to come up with a whole new website, migrate all the products in (text and images) and have it up and running in the next couple of weeks.Bit of a nightmare, but the new website is coming on quite well. It’s just taking all hours of the day. If you want to see the current website that’s about to become defunct, just google penhomeAlso, new ii website comes on stream this weekend, so need to see what happens... will we keep these discussion boards??Pen
