Exciting article about ACSO I've come across a page long article in the 21st April edition of Shares Mag which hasn't been mentioned here before, but has some extremely intriguing snippets, some of which are: - the long-term future for ACSO is the entire ticketing journey. In particular, "immediately apparent is transport logistics" - the article suggests perhaps a deal to be done with Uber, or some airlines in the USA - TB is also eyeing new markets such as sports, as ACSO already does some ticketing through the NHL, and apparently Brazilian football. Secondary theatre ticketing and digitised coupons are also options - with the new 10 year agreement with Six Flags and the 7 year agreement with Merlin, the internal revenue forecasts for 2022 (6 years hence!) are 70% secured already from the top 5 clients alone, covering around 200 theme parks, thanks to the recurring revnues. Total venues number 1,100-1,200 worldwide - the placing was snapped up by the likes of "BlackRock, Standard Life and other institutions"

Looking like new highs soon Up nicely on good volumes yesterday. It's noticeable that any selling has been easily mopped up, and those institutions who didn't get enough shares in the oversubscribed placing are seemingly happy to top up at above the placing price in the market.

Re: Results ahead of expectations gretel- where does it say ahead of expectations please

gretel 16 Mar 2016

Results ahead of expectations Terrific numbers, and a really bullish and positive feel to the outlook etc. Results are well ahead of expectations, with 40.96c adjusted EPS compared to Numis' forecast 35.3c - 30% up on last year.Net debt is lower than forecast too - and this and the increased profit are despite large investment costs given the Merlin roll-out etc.IP protection seems to be progressing nicely. There's a really interesting section on the huge repeatable/recurring revenue aspect of ACSO's business: "Broadly, we would expect approximately 85% of our full year revenue stream to be repeatable and transactional in nature, with a further 6% repeatable from ongoing support agreements with the licensed element of our customer base." "the Board estimates that contracted arrangements already in place with our top 5 customers alone will generate 60% to 70% of total group revenues, for each respective year, through to at least 2022. This clearly allows the opportunity to out-perform future revenue expectations by delivering further new business."

Re: Two pieces of good news today And Merlin's growth plans are significant: "Today we have announced our New Business Development milestone targets for 2020 including 2,000 new rooms, forty new Midway Attractions and four new LEGOLAND parks."

gretel 25 Feb 2016

Two pieces of good news today Firstly, from Merlin's results today ACSO get an unusually high profile and enthusiastic mention...."We also continue to develop new ways of exploiting the synergies which arise from the Group's scale. Over the next few years the biggest focus of this will be on the ways in which we can enhance the customer journey via imaginative use of technology. The central aspect of this will be the accesso® admissions / ticketing system, which started to rollout in 2015 after successful pilots, augmented by on-site downloadable apps and ibeacons to send visitors targeted messages. These new systems are also facilitating the data capture which will enable us to expand our CRM activities considerably in key markets meaning we can communicate with our customers on an ongoing basis."Also a very interesting RNS from Merlin this morning, taking a stake by investing $34.4m in and forming a partnership with the pretty sizeable Big Bus Tours group:[link] Doesn't take much imagination to see ACSO taking over Big Bus's ticketing given these comments: "The significant overlap in geographic footprint and creation of memorable customer experiences enables opportunities to cross-sell and promote tickets for both companies. Together, we will also be able to offer compelling new products, bundles and city passes to further delight our customers.""Big Bus Tours is the leading global owner- operator of Hop On Hop Off city tours, currently operating in Abu Dhabi, Budapest, Chicago, Dubai, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Las Vegas, London, Miami, Muscat, New York, Paris, Philadelphia, Rome, San Francisco, Vienna and Washington DC."
