OTB Hi MoonOTB which I think you hold, so do I . Chart in link below.[link] as VOD. Results recently weren’t bad yet the sp tanked, over reaction may be. And I topped up the day before, not knowing that a trading update was due the next day. Amateurish?? But the sp was rising up to the trading update day. I was entitled to Buy I think !!Sometimes we have to take adversity on the chin. We can’t win all the time.Nevermind CheersS

[link] 5 year weekly chart in link above. I’m not sure what’s going on despite the “inline” final results on Tuesday. Plenty of little possible negatives but nothing really substantial. May be the recent highs of US treasuries affecting income shares has become a major issue.I’m holding my trading tranche of 5000 shares at cost of £10,107, 202p per share, till the last minute pre ex divi date ie June the 6th. Depending on sp I could sell ie at 220p plus or if sp below 190p I’ll hold and pocket the 4% divi payout due on August 3rd. I shall see. Good luckS

Re: VOD VOD goes ex dividend on June 7th. I will sell my trading tranche of 5000 shares before then hopefully for 225p giving a profit of ~11%. My core holding will stay. Final dividend payment of €cent 10.23 on August 3rd will give me £1,340 to be re invested in VOD shares giving me around 670 extra shares assuming sp is 200p in August. Good luck Dr M

Thoughts Hi Moonsurfer I have, by mistake, this evening at the Club, looked at the ACTA bb pre login. Genuine error.I saw one iamsharecrazy, who is a rare poster in ACTA bb, but I have put him on ignore already, having a go at me because I’m invested in VOD and it’s not a rising share. I’ve been with VOD for 12 years now for the divis not for growth. Everyone in here knows that. He’s just firing cheap shots at me like a boy from the playground. 2 years ago you described him as a giant 6 foot rabbit !!! How correct you were. And Lebehnon posted 4 times this evening. He has already sided with the devil and is walking brainless, so I have put him on Ignore 3 weeks ago. He doesn’t mind that. Fine by him and fine by me. No probs. He’s out of my life now. But I mention Lebehnon because he likes to buy shares that directors bought. Me and you don’t really do that. We buy S2 shares. It shows what a waste of time he is for us. Good riddance IMO. Although I did like Leb as a person. Just thoughts. No real problems.Good luck S

SSY [link] bought small entry amount £600. Had it on watch for a couple of weeks.Star rating *2Will double up if I get 8% rise above my purchase price and will shift rating to 3*. Another tranche will be bought on 18% increase above purchase price and shift rating to 4*.If I lose 15% of my stake, £95, I exit. If sp stays at 8% above or below my purchase price I call it a staller and hold for 3 months or next trading update whichever is earlier. Then I decide to hold buy or sell.This summarises my investment process with these “rising” shares that I’m buying in bulk. Good luck S

Re: SYM pleased to see you posting on the ACTA board again.I looked at SYM last week and saw a very steep rise . Decided to wait to see if it dropped back a bit rather than chase it. Same with TRIN. BMN is another. Maybe I'll just buy token amounts to start with.Moon

SYM I’ve just trebled my holding in SYM. It’s gaining traction.Considering I was the first to rec SYM to the ACTA board, I’m making the least amount of profits amongst the holders there. My fault. I wasn’t that committed.Nevermind. At least I’m in with some profits.Good luck S

IQE This is turning into a good trading share. Buy at 105p and Sell at 130-140p in a few weeks. Reliable and profitable. I’ll do that next time. Must avoid the period around the next trading update which should be end of June I think.I could short this stock today only if I knew how to do it. But I’m against the morals of shorting anyway.Good luck S
