Re: Did something just happen? It has gone xd today but that's worth only 2.83p.There also appears to be a higher volume today (749k so far) than usual (595k 3m average (Stockopedia)), but not massively so. Any other ideas? Or is the market just having a short shake and tomorrow will recover?MM

Did something just happen? Great recent results push it back solidly above £9..... then today it takes a dive, quite a big dive on no news, well none I can find, so what am I missing?Or do I have to wait until tomorrow to read something a few others seem to know already?It's fallen 2p since I started typing!Regards,ITDYA, feeling frustrated.

Yeehah! Wow ... stonking results from this amazing company. I still have no idea what they do exactly but if all my investments delivered divi increases of 20% I should be as happy a bunny as one of the rabbits taking part in ABC's rabbit programme.There's only one thing to say:[link] on the flybridge well done Abcam!

Is 900 in sight? Are the interim results taking us through the 900 barrier? I feel they well might.

Re: still sinking Sentiment is a funny thing leading to short term volatility but fundamentals will win in the end. I could not believe ABC would hold at 900 so I sold a portion of my holding then. Now I am beginning to reload as equally I cannot believe the SP will drop below the notional floor of 750p.Some of my profit is now invested in Horizon Discovery Group which I believe has a bright future in redesigning DNA for myriads of purposes. Interestingly ABC is a customer and the ABC founder Johnathan Milner is a fan and he has recently personally invested in HDG too.

Re: still sinking Couple of possible influences; the sudden rise in the sp in the 2nd half of this year may have been the uplift to foriegn earnings presented by the weak £. The sp has steadily declined since the announcement of investment in new premises and the £ has recovered some value.

I have no reason to believe that white coated scientists with impressively clean goggles and pipettes have any less need of whatever it is that ABC sells than they had in the past.ABC is still up by rather more than my average share over the year to date, so I ain't bovvered.LKH on the flybridge strapping on a pair and manning up

Perhaps it's chust reverting towards the mean?The basic premise on which I bought it remains intact so I shall chust sit on my hands and wait for it to go up again and, if it goes down a bit more first, I shan't worry overmuch.Any outfit with a bunch of highly skilled white coated pointyheads in both Cambridge, Blighty and Cambridge, Massachusetts will come good in the end, trust me.[link] on the flybridge you don't see rollneck sweaters like that any more, more's the pit

bottom of the dip? Topped up at 803 in the hopes that I'd bought at bottom of the dip.As usual, a buy from me inevitably induces a further drop in SP.Anybody any idea why the current weakness?

Re: Through 900 today I am enjoying this ride, especially as this is my first ten bagger. I know the poor pound certainly helps. Most product is exported but I have no idea how much the company hedges currency. I think sales are usually in dollars. I have managed to take some profits and invested in Horizon. HZD (a related bio science company in Cambridge which also has advantages of being market leading and fast growing but with a very low SP. Brexit will help ABCAM in my opinion.DYOR,

Through 900 today Are we going to hit 1000 by Christmas Day? Is the upward rise mainly from sales in American market together with the fall in UK £1? If so perhaps further rise in the share price is too much to expect. However, if another clever business purchase is in sight perhaps we shall start the New Year full of excitement! Any thoughts?
