Re: RNS out - very good results Like the long term plan for a share buy back scheme
RNS out - very good results The RNS is full of reasons to buy AAU. It a good success story.Extract relevant to our debate - "We acknowledge the continuing disconnect between our share price and the value of our assets when assessed in terms of the in-situ value of our resource and reserve ounces. On this basis alone, irrespective of any cash flow from Kiziltepe, we believe the share price should be multiples of the current level. However, whilst general market sentiment is not something we can control, we remain confident that true value will be recognised in the long term. We also believe that after a long bear run in gold stocks since early 2013, the outlook for the commodity is now more positive. It appears likely that the new Chairman of the Federal Reserve will slowly rein in the quantitative easing policy of the past decade and support resolving their significant debt burden with quietly inflationary measures. This augurs well for commodities and tangible assets. Over recent months the position for stocks generally has weakened and the froth has come off both cryptocurrencies and technology stocks. "[link] this glowing report, I expected a jump in the share price so I am surprised to see a couple of sellers.
Re: Bonanza grades - all true TT - Your reasoning on the basis of "bonanza grades and portfolio" is sound enough. Yes, I chickened out at one point and sold off on a spike but then bought back in. I think the market was frightened off when Kerim suddenly went for a placing whilst we investors were looking forward to the first gold pour. Thereafter the suggestions of further exploration might mean raising more money and thus diluting our share value which imho spooked things and it may yet take a while for confidence to return. Kerim has since outlined how he hopes, for the most part, to use earnings to fund any future expansion. What initially scared me was the difficulties that many start-up AIM Companies ( "minnow miners" have in obtaining funds. Consequently they are forced to turn to powerful lenders (like say Sprott...and I mean no disrespect there because there are risks involved with such transactions). However such lenders can swiftly step in and snatch everything if the borrower does not meet his obligations on time and at best might only extend terms on agreeing higher fees. Usually there are other clues before everything crashes...director changes, resignations, excuses and lotsa promised "jam tomorrow". I became poorer before I learned my lessons the hard way! Nowadays I jump ship regardless when I smell the first rat going down the ropes. So caveat emptor rules. Ariana appears to have an excellent relationship with a "proper"bank and a good management team. Its directors and staff have shares in the firm (i.e they have skin in the game). All of this is reassuring but now everyone is waiting to see where things go. To my way of thinking perhaps a small token dividend following this half year and deducted from production earnings, to shareholders might send the right message, thus propelling our sp upwards very quickly and stimulating "the market" accordingly.
Re: Bonanza grades - all true And dont forget only 6% (2km) of the total vein system (34km) defined to date has been drill tested and contains the current JORC resource of c.362,000 ozs.....;(;?)!mmMgmt. believe there is at least another 425,000 ozs
Re: Bonanza grades - all true Yes, those bonanza grades are still there, the portfolio has widen giving us increased confidence for the future & reduced risk and Kerim knows best. Good luck to him, to AAU and to all of us shareholders. The good news about bonanza grades and all the rest of it was why I bought in - but, sadly, the reality of the sp cannot be ignored. In 2012, they announced bonanza grades and the sp has fallen from 2.88p to 1.3p. What will be different this time?It doesn't make me happy seeing 1.1p ahead. I still own a few hundred thousand of these, so I would like it to go up - but I don't think it will. The reason I haven't sold the lot is because the situation might change - a big rise in the gold price for instance, might make a difference.
Bonanza grades Those Bonanza grades are still there . Kerim elected to widen the satellite pit portfolio so the supply of ore to the mine is assured. Rather than just focus on one or two specific areas. This increased confidence for the future & reduced risk. All of the satellites have a lot more to be explored.Kerim knows the average grade and tonnage he needs to support guidance , but importantly he knows there is a lot more gold in the war chest to extend the Life of Mine way beyond current estimates. He is playing a conservative game and ensuring he uses available cash wisely. Thats my understanding but of course the market just looks at the headline figures & words. I do think Kerim could articulate such strategies a bit more clearly however. But perhaps he knows best. Good luck.
For anyone not familiar with ... ... AAU.This company, AAU, seems to be getting everything right and keeps putting out good news about its progress. The potential is impressive and the signs all lead to the expectation of a rising share price. This is why I bought in in the first place - the potential looked good - BUT since I bought in, the share price has drifted lower. The Mail article from yesterday points out the drift lower over the last 12 months and from this old piece from 2012, we can see how bad the drift lower is - "On Monday Ariana revealed bonanza gold and silver grades in Turkey", - that was in 2012 - so we had news of bonanza grades - but the sp has gone from 2.88p then to 1.3p today. Here it is -[link] don't why this time it will be different. This board has a few people who constantly spew out reasons why the sp will go up, but they have ignored the reality about the sp and when it is pointed out, they get hot under the collar and, some of them, abusive.Even though I have said that, with all the good news from the company, one would expect a higher share price, in their replies to me, they keep re-stating the good news as though I had disputed it - I hadn't. What is wrong with them? The answers are - and I don't know which of these apply in each case - bigotry and a stone-headed attitude in failing to see the reality of the sp direction, belligerence, stupidity in not understanding my comments, or they are rampers. As I say, I don't know which of these applies in each case - make up your own mind. The drift is lower, but I have not sold my entire holding as it may turn around and go up. I expect the drift lower to continue but I am not so arrogant to claim that I am right, it is an opinion on which way it will go - an opinion that is not tolerated on here and provokes attacks. So, we have just had more good news, but since I don't see why this time it will be different to 2012, I believe the drift lower will continue, unless the market gets so impressed by simple Richard's calculations that they cause a mad rush to buy.
Reply to simple Richard You must be the simpleton - firstly, you have failed to comprehend what i have written. You have stated the good news abut AAU - why did you bother? Do you think I don't know all that? I have expressed the view that the company keeps giving us good news and the share price ought to go up - but it doesn't.You say "it is blatenly obverse that the share is being manipulated" - how many times have I said that there is something that is not right about the price? I expressed it as "We need Sherlock Holmes to find out what is going on" so again you are telling me something that I am aware of and have commented on - did uou not understand my words? You mus be the simpleton. The fact is that after the previous announcement of bonanza grades, the share price has gone from 2.88p to 1.3p. Why should it be any different this time? I see you fail to address that point. Perhaps you think all those calculations you do - and get wrong - will make the difference.
Re: The RNS effect Wow Thomas Tallis - what an effusion, my dear chappie - but I am quite aware of the details of the Patriotic War, thanks, 'cos I am well versed in history, have a vast library, pictures of myself on board USSR warships and my wife speaks Armenian. the way, do you also suffer from IBS?Your "Yank Speak" needs a slight tuning. "buddy" is kinda neutral. In your case I should probably have addressed you differently. ....something like "Yeah right, Dude!"The first thing to do down the pit (and you are the pits!) is to chuck your shovel out but clearly you haven't learned that. It is certainly a most unwise tactic to get snotty (that's Brit speak) with long-standing contributors on these discussion sites - more especially when you take on someone like temu (with a favorite ranking of just two digits). Now there are couple of points of interest, tovarishch. "Rivers of Blood" also describes Enoch Powell's famous (or perhaps infamous) warning about immigration. You also omitted to mention what happened after WW2 ended when Winston Churchill agreed to repatriate thousands of Ukrainians/White Russians to Joe Stalin's loving care and the Iron Curtain thereafter was dropped to the east of Vienna.I don't think your Daily Mail, though oft quoted, is particularly well received on many of these discussion boards and I have certainly made you well aware of my own loathing of Zerohedge so I am not going to be impressed by your quotes from these sources. In fact Media Bias/Fact Check describes the latter's outpourings as "Zero Hedge is a financial blog that aggregates news and presents editorial opinions from original and outside sources. In between the aggregated news there are economic conspiracies and general right wing biases. Zero Hedge also has a terrible record with fact checkers. Overall, this is a conspiracy based website". So it's not just me who thinks it's doo-dooAnyway the weekend is upon us and I wish you a most pleasant one in spite of all we have written to each other. I am away to Mexico. You strike me as perhaps inclined more towards Corbyn than May and I was far more comfortable with my former President than what we've now got. Accordingly I rather appreciate the following article....[link] Hasta la vista !
Re: News of bonanza grades - what it did to ... so what are you saying tt that you are with the shorter who for some bizarre reason are trying to destroy a honest company with an honest board unlike many aim listed company's .a while ago you all barked like dogs when the directors gave them selves options to buy at 1.8p and now you are saying this is going to drop to 1.1p.some of you at times make me feel sick
Re: 1,000,000 SELL ? I see 0.9p ahead give reasons for it to go up? what are you talking about? .......With such illogical drivel like that from you, I'm not to going to waste my time on you any more. You don't want debate you are just looking to argue========== ======Thomas, are you drunk? I didn't ask you to give reasons for the SP to 'go up'. Perhaps re-read my post?As for the rest ' illogical drivel , going to waste my time, you are just looking to argue'. Well imo, I've spoken to you quite respectably, if this is your level of debate, then I suspect DJ's assessment of you may be very correct.
Re: The Mail agrees with me are you a simpleton it is blatenly obverse that the share is being manipulated.it has a low value trading range and low trading volumes easy to manipulate .i trade on fundamentals and we are paying of our debt and making a healthy profit 0.5p per share .at the end of the update to the projected production from the sat-alight prospects to the mine i anticipate a mine life of 12 to 13 years in front of us and at 12x profit that gives a sp for the mine alone of 6p and then we add on tavsan north and south.salinbas that has more proven than the mine .this must give a value of 9 or 10p in total
News of bonanza grades - what it did to the sp NOTE this - "On Monday Ariana revealed bonanza gold and silver grades in Turkey", - that was in 2012 - so we had news of bonanza grades - but the sp has gone from 2.88p then to 1.3p today.Do you think that this time will be different? Here it is -[link]
The Mail agrees with me [link] does that Daily Mail article say - "one would have expected the share price to have appreciated" - read my posts. That is what I said, I said, with all the good news coming out you would expect it to go up - but it doesn't. So, some people who are glad to this mentioned in the Mail are the same people who criticised me, but I said the same thing, I merely expressed in in different words. The article also says - "the stock has been in reverse gear as it has fallen around a quarter in the last 12 months." - note how he has spotted the trend! I spotted the trend too."It depends on where you start from" some of you have argued - that's true and my starting pint was perfectly valid and I'll give you another one from an older Daily Mail article - in 2012 AAU was at 2.88p.And NOTE this - "On Monday Ariana revealed bonanza gold and silver grades in Turkey", - that was in 2012 - so we had news of bonanza grades - but the sp has gone from 2.88p to 1.3p. Do you think that this time will be different? Here it is -[link]
Re: 1,000,000 SELL ? I see 0.9p ahead Temujiin "If you can give me any reasons for it to go down from here, then that's useful. I can see lots of reasons why it will go up" give reasons for it to go up? what are you talking about? You have read my previous posts so you know that I have said all things point to it going up - it should go up, but it doesn't. With such illogical drivel like that from you, I'm not to going to waste my time on you any more. You don't want debate you are just looking to argue. As I said, time will tell - either it will go up or it will go down so there's no point in arguing - we should just wait to see how it goes.
