Re: Who has lost their nerve Yes, but as the optimism of another approach fades, the price will also. Im not convinced another bid at present is coming, the market knows 888 knock back bids quite easily, and i dont think william hill will pay £1bln for it which is what the shaked's are after. Be lucky.........
Re: Who has lost their nerve only that Hills just bid 210p but were knocked back last week........888 are in play there will be another bid soon either hills returning or Amaya or similar....if they weren't we would be at 130p.
Re: Who has lost their nerve What makes you think a bid is in the offing?I bout my 1st lot at 55p and my last lot at 1.10, so I would be doing well at 1.77. My personal view a bid is another 2 years plus away. But what do I know, I just lost 7k this morn Grrrr!
Re: Who has lost their nerve i would personally hold for the bid its in the offing not far away why disappear at 177p when it could motor to 220-250?!
Re: Who has lost their nerve I'm still here, waiting for the Divi or share price to reach £1.77 which ever comes soonest!Off topicI did loose my nerve on GKP though, came out this morning with a £7k loss
Who kept nerve? Comment at nakedtrader.co.uk is"However once William Hill pulled out I bought 888 again on weakness as there is little doubt I think that 888 will end up bid for with any number of companies in the frame and I suspect one of them will go for it and would have thought a compromise price of 250 could be reached so I reckon the shares are worth holding."
Re: Who has lost their nerve My interest has moved to DCP currently. DYOR anyone who is curious. great business though, shaping up nicely.
Who has lost their nerve I bought in recently @172 when I felt the deal would go through with WH.I have not applied a stop loss at this stage but have been impressed withthe resilience being shown by the sp. Watch this space.
Re: Who has lost their nerve? Seems we holders are a dwindling group.Nothing wrong with getting out though - I have thought of doing so too.sp reslience is amazing. Surely something must be cooking behind the scenes? Maybe the speedy withdrawal of WH brought the Shakeds back to reality? One Shaked said to another 'get real - £3 is ridiculous!'Will we wake up one morning to a done deal?Holding on for a little longer.
Re: Who has lost their nerve? Nope still here and no limit orders although its tempting to try to sell at the very recent highs of 1.60ish. Im pleasantly surprised its this high. Thought it would fall back to £1.40ish after WMH debacle. Looking forward to our dividend announcement. I reckon its a 4.5¢ final dividend and a 7 - 8¢ special on top. Heres hoping im not wrong !
Re: Who has lost their nerve? Yes still here; and not lost my nerve, but I hold 888 in 2 separate accounts, and with one I have set a limit order below the recent highs, so maybe that can be classed as losing my nerve. With the other I'm in for the long(er) haul.
Who has lost their nerve? sp showing remarkable resilience. Each time it drops below 160 I think the big plunge has started - but back up it comes. Are we all still here girls and boys? Who has lost their nerve - or found something better perhaps?
Re: Well that's a turn-up.. Glyn thought 888 wasnt in the interests of their shareholders to buy a few years back too.....
Re: Well that's a turn-up.. A lot of potential bidders might be put off by 888 apparently leaking details of the WMH bid. If William Hill does try to find an alternative "match" the latter will know that the former can bid up to £750M / 16 X Earnings . As a WMH holder, obviously without the full details of what was on offer, it looked a bit expensive.
Re: Well that's a turn-up.. I don't think I'd advise buying up here though, the price roared on the bid, that has now gone, I feel todays lift is a bit of a suckers rally, but lets find out in coming weeks if I'm right or not (probably not!).caution advised.
