AMAZING Musical.y one of 7DIG clients has grown astronomically and has over 120 million users.Chinas digital entertainment a hit overseasZhu Shenshen | December 1, 2016, Thursday | PRINT EDITIONLOUIS Yang, co-founder and chief executive of the Shanghai startup musical.ly, never expected the live streaming app to attract so much attention so quickly in overseas markets. When we started out, we figured on maybe 5 million users within the first year, but the global response has been far beyond our imagination, Yang said in Musicals office on Jumen Road in downtown Shanghai.Since its debut last year, Musical has amassed 120 million users globally, attracting celebrities and artists like Jason DeRulo, Paris Hilton, Fetty Wap, Shaquille ONeal, Adam Lambert and Gnash.Musical is the latest example of Chinese mobile publishers penetrating overseas markets in content and entertainment. They are taking advantage of the latest technologies, like cloud computing, artificial intelligence translation and mobile application stores.Their services span music video clips, e-book novels and security applications on mobile devices.Welcome to the newest wave of domestic entrepreneurs in Chinas Go Global campaign, trailblazers following in the footsteps of companies like Lenovo and Huawei.Their rapid foothold overseas is down to applications in entertainment, social networking, music and videos, according to US research firm App Annie.Their combined revenue from Apples iOS store in the year to September 30 jumped 1.6 times to US$400 million in the United States market alone, and surged 2.6-fold in Japan to US$200 million, said App Annie.New technologies are being integrated into Chinese cultural content to attract overseas audiences, said Yin Weimin, chairman of the National Base for International Cultural Trade (Shanghai).Musical is now the top local Internet firm targeting overseas markets, Yang said, noting the benefits of its unique opportunities and timing. With some 120 million users in more than 100 countries, Musical offers more than 2 billion online video clips and is one of the biggest clients of Amazon cloud service AWS in China. The app attracts about 1 million new registered users a day and handles about 200 million new messages daily during peak seasons all with a technology management team of only three engineers.Well this underlines how well 7DIG must be doing and once an update or results are out or if someone highlites the potential should be in for a big rerating.

Some news Cole said that 7digitals biz-dev staff are being tasked with aiming high for big, global deals rather than small, less-valuable contracts.Who are the five global clients who need music? Does Snapchat need music? Does WhatsApp need music? he said. Musical.ly has brought us so much attention in Silicon Valley, due to being able within weeks to get themselves legal and licensed, by working with 7digital. That has brought an enormous amount of interest from the Valley.7digitals two deals with major-label clients are also intriguing, although Cole declined to discuss who they are and what kind of services are being created.Look forward to the next RNS
director BUYS good to see the directors putting in some cash at this bargain basement price!
in line performance Update from finnCap"Revenue and gross profit of £5.2m and £3.3m respectively are in line with the performance achieved in 1H15. Adj. operating costs have meanwhile increased, but this is largely due to a significant one-off provision and as a result, LBITDA has increased from £-2.8m, up from £-1.5m in 1H15. The company's gross cash position is materially better than the LBITDA performance suggests at £1.1m, only £0.5m lower than at year-end, benefiting from a strong control of working capital. The provision relates to funds (£0.7m) due from Guvera (already flagged), which was previously considered doubtful no impact to 1H16 cash flow, but this will place greater strain on cash looking ahead. Revenue of £5.2m was less than 1H16E of £6.5m, due to a quieter than expected Q1; it is however reassuring that positive momentum resumed in Q2, with a strong sales month in June contributing to a 10% increase in exit-rate recurring revenue. Despite this recent momentum and healthy sales pipeline, we revise our full-year expectations in light of this slower than anticipated start to the year."

On the move up 7DIG up 18% on level 2 now. Results due Sept and after recent update should be very good. Has been at lows for quite a while now with little interest shown. Maybe this is about to change and it should start ticking up to brokers target of 34p.Share price could really jump at any time-funds already hold some stock and Chairman bought in earlier in year.
Re: On target Over 8p now and rising, happy days
On target Still expects to be in profit at year end-so all moving to plan-looks like a steady uptick from now to year end unless major wins announced.
Update Due anytime. If update confirms progress to near profitability this could really jump as unloved and overlooked at moment. Massive potential if all things go right.
Well i am Looking fwd to multi bagging this beauty
edison Valuation: Pivotal year discount unwarranted7digital has made considerable progress transitioning from a B2C download model to one of licensing B2B streaming solutions, which represented 63% of revenues last year. Aprils Snowite acquisition tilts the group even further in this direction and with the encouraging new business pipeline management appears on track to reach EBITDA break-even in H216 as targeted. The uncertainty surrounding Omnifone should create opportunities to grow its market share further. On a FY17e P/E of 8.2x, the shares trade at less than half the valuation of its global small-cap SaaS and video streaming peers and do not capture the potential for 7digital to grow its share in the large and expanding market for music streaming services.
